Where To Find Ember Rufflizards In Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, much of your time is dedicated to tracking down the large, intimidating beasts that yield valuable materials and instill fear. While these monsters provide an exciting chase, they’re not the only creatures you’ll encounter. The game features a variety of monsters, ranging from small ones to even smaller ones known as endemic life in each region.

At the Windward Plains Base Camp, Dareel and Samin continue their friendly rivalry, both eager to uncover as much life as possible in the Forbidden Lands. Currently, they’ve tasked you with tracking down an Ember Rufflizard for them. Fortunately, this creature is known to be a bit less challenging compared to some of the others they’ve encountered so far.

How To Start Dareel’s Research Report (Cont.)

To begin this task, it is essential that you have already finished two quests assigned by Dareel and Samin: the “Research Report” tasks, where you gathered a Tracktail Lizard for Dareel and a Dapperwing for Samin. Once these requirements are met, you’ll find both characters back at Windward Plains Base Camp, huddled in a large tent located towards the rear area.

It appears that you may not have realized this, but there’s always a random species of local wildlife you’ve managed to capture residing in the research tent, along with a trapped fish.

Additionally, you’ll find that you have to advance considerably in the plot, which means you might not unlock it immediately following the first two tasks. Keep on moving forward with your gameplay and it should become accessible eventually.

Where To Find An Ember Rufflizard

Once you embark on this adventure, you’ll have ventured through every region and undoubtedly encountered a variety of its unique fauna. Dareel’s data indicates that the Ember Rufflizard inhabits the Oilwell Basin, which is all the information he provides. Fortunately, the Ember Rufflizard is common across various environments and weather conditions, and can be spotted at any time of day, although they are more prevalent during the Firespring season.

Generally, they prefer to dwell in parts of the Oilwell Basin that are distant from the Oilsilt and damp zones. Consequently, they are primarily found in the lower parts of the region, with Area 8 being a common location. Ironically, there’s a substantial amount of oilsilt here, but it’s easier to catch them using a Capture Net around this area and transport them to Dareel.

Of course, while Dareel’s side is finished now, Samin has another request for you.
