As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen Pokémon grow from a humble Game Boy game to a global phenomenon that transcends generations. The anticipation for each new release is always palpable, and the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A is no exception.
As a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement over the impending release of Pokémon Legends Z-A! The anticipation is so palpable among fellow fans that we’ve been eagerly discussing and speculating about which Pokémon will be chosen as our starters for this new adventure.
The initial spin-offs based on Legends transported Pokémon enthusiasts to a period hundreds of years before the primary series’ contemporary tales, with the 2022 release, Legends Arceus, offering players the chance to traverse the Hisui region, which would later be known as Sinnoh when the events depicted in Diamond and Pearl games commence.
In a change of scenery, Pokémon Legends Z-A is moving to a renowned locale yet with a modern twist. The entire game unfolds within Lumiose City, the sprawling urban hub initially introduced in Pokémon X and Y.
Although the game was initially revealed in February, there’s been a scarcity of information about it, leading enthusiasts to engage in speculative discussions on Reddit to maintain excitement. It’s fascinating to ponder over who might be the likely characters that GameFreak may select as starters this time around.
In the game Pokémon Legends: Arceus, I found myself in the Hisui (Sinnoh) region where the developers cleverly selected my favorite starters from previous generations to join me on my adventure. They picked Rowlet, the grass/flying type from Gen VII, Cyndaquil, the fire type starter from Gen II, and Oshawott, the water starter from Gen V for me to partner up with!
Today, user Totayalee shared an in-depth analysis, outlining their predictions for the starting lineup of teams Z and A, backed by strong arguments to support their choices.
According to Totayalee’s viewpoint, if the starters in Legend Z-A follow a certain theoretical arrangement, they would likely include Snivy, Scorbunny, and Popplio.
The individual elaborates that there’s a connection among the three, as Lumoise City, a city modeled after actual France and its capital Paris, shares similarities. Scorbunny, being a character inspired by football, is particularly relevant to France, given that football (soccer) is hugely popular not just in France but across Europe.
Instead of Popplio’s final form, Primarina, having a megavolution based on the renowned Phantom of the Opera story penned by Gaston Leroux, we could imagine it transforming into a mega evolution that draws inspiration from this iconic play.
Users disagreed with the theory, but suggested that it could be more fitting to choose Torchic as the fire-type starter, given that France’s national symbol is the rooster.
It’s fair to assume that what we know so far about Pokémon Legends Z-A is just conjecture, and it would be reassuring for the fans of The Pokémon Company and Nintendo to receive an update on its current status.
