Why Anna Wintour’s Cake for Hugh Jackman Might Be the Next Big Hollywood Secret

It’s always delightful when there’s a reason to rejoice, but it’s even more special when others share your joy over good news. That was recently the case for Hugh Jackman, who received a cake from Anna Wintour and Vogue Magazine, as they celebrated his work in two separate live shows in New York. The cake she sent was quite a sight to behold, and while it might have been a unique occurrence, I can’t help but hope that she’s following in the footsteps of Tom Cruise.

Why Did Anna Wintour Send Hugh Jackman A Cake And Why Do I Hope She’s Pulling A Tom Cruise?

Hugh Jackman is widely recognized as one of the most prominent film actors, notably for his prolonged portrayal of Wolverine in movies such as “Logan,” “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and X-Men series, and heading the ensembles of other remarkable films like “The Greatest Showman,” “Prisoners,” and “The Prestige.” Similar to others before him, Jackman has a deep connection with theater, earning a Tony Award in 2004.

The actor is currently in a production, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes, at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City, with the arrival of his show at Radio City Music Hall, Hugh Jackman Live from New York with Love, set to open on June 20. The Les Misérables Oscar nominee took to his Instagram Stories to share the (almost definitely) delectable gift he was sent by US Vogue editor/The Devil Wears Prada inspiration, Anna Wintour, and her team at Vogue. Take a look:

As a film enthusiast, I may not be able to confirm if the cake tasted “extraordinary,” but visually, it’s a knockout! Frankly, let’s face it. Could you ever envision a globally acclaimed taste-connoisseur like Anna Wintour delivering a cake that looks good on the outside but falls flat on taste? I for one can’t picture such a scenario.

Couldn’t it be intriguing to speculate that instead of just one special occasion, this cloud-like dessert shares similarities with the current project of the Real Steel main character? Imagine if this isn’t merely a unique event. What if we were to entertain the thought that while we often discuss Tom Cruise sending lavish coconut cakes during holidays to his extensive network, including fellow actors like Glen Powell, Anna Wintour has been quietly replicating this generous gesture whenever someone she is connected with experiences a significant moment in their life?

It’s clear to me that she has the financial means for it. Just like Tom Cruise, who has been sending birthday cakes to Kirsten Dunst for three decades, she’s been at the top of her field for several decades. Therefore, it seems reasonable to assume that she could easily instruct her assistant to monitor updates about a selected group of celebrities, colleagues, family members, and past Vogue cover stars. Whenever a special occasion arises, her assistant could then arrange for extravagant cakes to be ordered.

This idea is intriguing too, as each cake would have its unique charm, tailored to celebrate different occasions. Anna, if by chance you’re reading this, I managed to mow the lawn this week without any mishaps! By the way, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting is my favorite…if you were curious.
