It appears you may not have been aware that the dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has been quite intricate, involving numerous allegations (such as the character in Deadpool & Wolverine’s Nicepool being branded as a “transparent and mocking portrayal”). The situation is about to become even more convoluted, as a fresh lawsuit has emerged, with Lively now facing accusations of defamation from a crisis management PR firm.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Jed Wallace of Street Relations has filed a lawsuit in Texas federal court claiming that Blake Lively tarnished his reputation by involving him in the legal disputes between her and actor/director Justin Baldoni from ‘It Ends With Us’. The lawsuit alleges that Wallace was the target of false social media posts, which were created to support Baldoni while criticizing Lively.
According to reports, Wallace appears to be asking for a sum of around $7 million and an official court ruling declaring that he did not partake in harassment or retribution towards the actress.
According to the latest trade report, Wallace gained more prominence in the ongoing legal dispute yesterday, as it emerged that Blake Lively is attempting to obtain a court order for Wallace’s deposition – an action which could imply she might be planning to include him as a defendant in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni and his company Wayfarer.
In simpler terms, both Lively and Baldoni’s legal representatives have been using the term “devastating” to describe the ongoing predicament. This new lawsuit, added to the mix, suggests that a quick resolution is unlikely at this point. The tension on the set of “It Ends With Us” has been a topic of quiet speculation for months. In December 2024, Lively initiated a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of fostering a hostile work environment during the filming and orchestrating a post-production campaign to harm her professional reputation.
Last month, Baldoni initiated two separate legal actions: one against The New York Times, and another aimed at both Blake Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds.
