It’s no secret that Shah Rukh Khan and his family are currently not residing at their well-known Mumbai home, Mannat, as it underwent renovation this year. Previously, the property accommodated several staff members who took care of the Khan family. Recent updates indicate that Gauri Khan has leased an apartment in Mumbai’s Khar district for her staff to live in.
According to reports I’ve come across on Zapkey.com, as shared by News 18, it appears that I have leased a flat at Pankaj society for approximately Rs 1.35 lakh, intended for my staff members. This society is situated in a renowned residential area of Mumbai and is merely 100 meters away from another duplex apartment I rented following the renovation of Mannat.
The reports indicate that the leased apartment is situated on the fourth level of a building, covering approximately 725 square feet. It was leased from Sanjay Kishor Ramani, and in addition to the rental fee, a security deposit amounting to Rs 4.05 lakh was also paid. As per reports, this lease agreement spans for three years with an annual increase of 5% on the rent. Previously, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan’s wife had leased two duplexes in Khar’s Pali Hill for Rs 8.67 crore, also for a period of 3 years.
It seems that the Khan family encountered difficulties related to the renovation project they started around March. As reported by Bar & Bench on Monday, activist Santosh Daundkar submitted a petition to the National Green Tribunal (NGT), alleging that Shah Rukh Khan and the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) failed to obtain the required Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance for the renovation of Mannat. Since Mannat is classified as a Grade III heritage building, any alterations necessitate official consent.
The report further mentioned that Khan planned to expand his six-story house by constructing an extra pair of floors. Additionally, it claims that he transformed a set of 12 small apartments meant for public housing into a private dwelling instead.
Regarding his professional endeavors, Shah Rukh Khan is eagerly preparing to film the movie titled King. In this production, he will be joined by his daughter Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone.
