Why Jaya Bachchan often gets angry on shutterbugs? Paparazzo says, 'She hates it when they spot her off-guard'

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Jaya Bachchan‘s relationship with the paparazzi is as unique as her acting prowess. Her candid interactions with the media have become a beloved spectacle for many, myself included.

Jaya Bachchan’s interactions with photographers have always been unique, and people love watching it like a movie with popcorn in hand. As a seasoned actress, she frequently expresses frustration towards them over various matters. Now, Manav Manglani, a renowned celebrity photographer, has shared some insights into the reasons behind Jaya Bachchan’s occasional irritation towards photographers.

During the conversation with Aleena Dissects, Manav remarked that media presence has significantly grown nowadays, and she’s not accustomed to the numerous flashes. “In her time,” explained Manglani, “there were just a few people who handled it all quite delicately.” He added that Mrs Bachchan remains unfazed by paparazzi at press conferences or film premieres.

Manav shared that she becomes surprised when photographed unexpectedly, as she exclaimed, “I can’t believe so many people have gathered, we were just having dinner.” He also mentioned that she enjoys playful interactions with the paparazzi, although these moments don’t usually make the news. Interestingly, it was disclosed that the actress even advises the photographers on shooting angles, such as saying, “Take the photo from here instead of a low angle.

Manav believes that Jaya Bachchan isn’t particularly skilled at handling the media as she is accustomed to interacting with only a small group of individuals from specific channels. In essence, she has her own unique approach. After all, demanding more from someone who primarily wishes to attend family functions, social events, and premieres might be unreasonable. It’s more effective to photograph someone who willingly seeks the spotlight rather than upsetting them, capturing them without consent, and potentially stirring up negativity towards them.

In one of her recent interviews on the What The Hell Navya podcast, Jaya Bachchan expressed her dislike for intrusions into personal privacy. She stated, “I detest it. I abhor it. I abhor those who meddle in your private affairs and profit by spreading gossip. I detest it, I find such people repugnant. I always tell them, ‘You should feel ashamed’.

Recently, I had the privilege of gracing the big screen in Karan Johar’s film, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” In this production, I took on the heartwarming role of none other than Ranveer Singh’s grandma.
