In the first couple of seasons of the widely praised HBO show, Coolidge brought Tanya McQuoid to life, a character marked by emotional depth and innocence who meets an untimely demise by falling off a boat in the season finale (Spoiler Alert!). Most recently, she sat down with The Sunday Times to discuss how this role differed from her appearances in the American Pie films.
Although I portray an eccentric character in ‘White Lotus’, I’m still approached by attractive men. It’s no longer just that small guy.
Prior to her role in “The White Lotus”, Coolidge had already gained recognition for portraying Steve Stifler’s mom in the 1999 hit comedy “American Pie”. In this film, her character was involved with high school student Paul Finch.
