Why Sabrina Carpenter Might Consider Banning Phones at Her Concerts

Fans of Sabrina Carpenter may wish to preserve as many moments from her performances, since the opportunity could soon pass.

Despite being accustomed to performing with crowds filled with people and smartphones, she has expressed a willingness to prohibit mobile devices during her shows in the coming days, as she shared with Rolling Stone.

Though she’s familiar with playing on stages surrounded by people and their phones, she’s contemplating a ban on cellular gadgets at future concerts, as revealed to Rolling Stone.

Both versions convey the same message in natural and easy-to-understand language.

In all honesty, this might disappoint my supporters, but certainly,” replied the artist behind “Please Please Please.” “I recently attended a Silk Sonic concert in Vegas, and they confiscated my phone. I’ve never had a more memorable concert experience. It was as if I had been transported back to the 70s – even though I wasn’t born then. The atmosphere was incredible; everyone was singing, dancing, engaging with each other, and laughing. It was truly an extraordinary moment that felt incredibly beautiful.

Although the “Manchild” singer acknowledged that fans might long for keepsakes from her performances, she jokingly added that she’d prefer they didn’t focus too closely on her as she grows older to a ripe age of 80 years.

Growing up, it’s been commonplace to see people with iPhones at concerts. To me, it feels quite ordinary. However, considering the duration of my touring career and my age, I think it would be beneficial if phones were restricted during performances. They shouldn’t be allowed to zoom in on my face. At this moment, my skin is smooth and elastic, but that won’t last forever.

If Carpenter chooses to ban phones during her performances, she will follow in the footsteps of artists such as Bob Dylan, Adele, and Madonna who have implemented similar policies in the past.

Following a significant surge in popularity last year following her album “Short n’ Sweet” launch, the singer has now achieved her second No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Manchild”. Notably, Carpenter is planning to release her new studio album, titled “Man’s Best Friend”, in August as well.
