Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film adaptation of the Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in significant roles, made news following the official confirmation of its title by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a ‘U’ rating. According to recent updates, Ranbir as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana will have minimal interaction on-screen, as the producers aim to adhere closely to the original Valmiki scripture.
Based on information from Zee News, it’s stated that the creators have chosen to adhere closely to the Valmiki text, meaning that Lord Ram and Ravana seldom interact throughout the epic. Instead, their narratives develop separately until fate ultimately leads them into a confrontation during the decisive battle.
According to the original story, it isn’t until after Ravana kidnaps Sita that Ram first learns of his existence. They don’t encounter each other until their face-off on the battlefield in Lanka.
Although no formal declarations about the cast have been made yet, it is rumored and suggested by leaks from the set that Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, Yash may be cast as Sita, and Sai Pallavi could portray Ravana.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: In an exclusive chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, I, [Your Name], proudly announced my portrayal of Ravana in an upcoming film project. This role, I must say, is the most captivating character I could have embodied, and I’m genuinely thrilled about it. Moreover, I am not just an actor in this production; I am also a co-producer, aiming to ensure its success on a global scale.
Previously, a reliable insider informed us at TopMob that actor Yash would be working on his role in Ramayana for nearly a month, covering segments from both parts one and two. Notably, he has already started filming individual scenes and is set to shoot alongside Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor soon. It’s also worth mentioning that Sunny Deol, another cast member, will commence shooting in June this year.
For those who may not be familiar, the first part of the Ramayana movie series will premiere in theaters over the Diwali weekend of 2026, while the second part has been scheduled for a Diwali 2027 release.
