As a film enthusiast with over three decades of cinematic experiences under my belt, I must say that the concept of Will Smith as Black Panther is an intriguing prospect. My first encounter with Will Smith was during the golden era of sitcoms, where his charm and charisma shone brightly in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Fast forward to today, and he has proven time and again that he can embody a wide range of characters, from the suave, charming Neil Cunningham in “I, Robot” to the fierce Deadshot in “Suicide Squad.”

The idea of Will Smith as Black Panther is not entirely far-fetched. If we consider his desire to play a black superhero and his ability to bring a character to life convincingly, he could potentially honor Chadwick Boseman’s legacy while also offering something new and exciting for the Marvel Universe.

Over time, Will Smith has proven to be an extraordinary actor, tackling diverse roles and constantly evolving his craft. For instance, he portrayed Deadshot in the 2016 film “Suicide Squad,” demonstrating his aptitude for comic book characters. It was only with Django Unchained that the concept first crossed my mind, but I didn’t want to make a film about slavery that focused solely on vengeance.
