As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must admit that WITH Island: Relaxing Games has caught my attention, if not quite my heart. This pastel-infused meditative experience is unlike anything I’ve encountered in the realm of mobile gaming.

In my experience with Pocket Gamer, it’s quite intriguing to notice how many individuals claim their mobile games are stress-free. However, I find there’s a significant gap between being “exciting and action-packed, resulting in joy” and being “stress-free.” To me, the term “stress-free” is more closely linked with tea blends than it is with gaming.

In my opinion, “With Island” comes as near as possible to embodying that, for good or ill. This collection of mini-games, treasure hunts, and other casual activities is available now on iOS, with an upcoming release for Android devices.

Last week, I discussed this topic and after trying out more of the game, I must say my feelings towards it remain mixed. Firstly, I’m still not a fan of pastel colors. However, the more I observe it, the more I can understand its charm.


Cool, calm and collected

Allow me to clarify, the game I’m referring to seems unusually hazy and surreal, which could be seen as either intriguing or off-putting. Regardless, I believe this game will attract a specific, niche audience. Admittedly, it may not resonate with everyone, including myself, but that doesn’t diminish the appeal for those who find it enjoyable.

However, if you’re searching for something that’s nearly the opposite of edgy, almost round like a ball, then perhaps With Island is what you seek instead.
