Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2: Exciting News You Can’t Miss!

The sequel series to the original show, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, was renewed for a second season in March 2025. Not long after, Disney enthusiastically announced an exhilarating piece of news for fans.

Disney shared that they’ve started producing Season 2 of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” as announced in a post. This new season brings back David Henrie, who played Justin Russo in the original series, along with other familiar faces such as Max Matenko (Milo Russo), Alkaio Thiele (Roman Russo), Taylor Cora (Winter), Janice LeAnn Brown (Billie), and Mimi Gianopulos (Giada Russo).

The description for the series on Disney+ states: “Billie, a young wizard with immense power, is placed in the human world under the guidance of Justin Russo, the sole wizard teacher who can manage her abilities.” Its initial episode, which included Selena Gomez reappearing as Alex Russo, turned out to be the most-viewed debut of any Disney Channel series, attracting 3.2 million viewers worldwide within its first 12 days on the streaming platform.

Season 2 Will Likely Premiere in 2026

In the final episode of Season 1 titled “Nigh Is Now,” Gomez, who is also an executive producer, made a comeback on February 28, 2025. The series was swiftly renewed for another season a month later. On a recent interview, Henrie shared his excitement saying: “I’m touched by the outpouring of love for our series and can’t wait to offer more Russo magic to the new fans of ‘Wizards.’ I also want to continue giving a warm embrace to the original fans! We have many exciting surprises planned for this upcoming season. It’s going to be huge, so stay tuned!

It hasn’t been announced exactly when Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will premiere, but we can expect it to air sometime in the year 2026.
