It’s likely that most people have given the Worms series by Team17 a try and found it enjoyable. There’s no feeling quite like launching your friend high into the air and off the map with a skillfully aimed rocket. Now, Apple Arcade subscribers can enjoy that same exhilarating fun with the upcoming release of Worms Across Worlds!

In “Worms Across Worlds,” you embark on an interdimensional journey aimed at thwarting the nefarious Professor Worminkle’s plans to annihilate the universe. This adventure involves battling it out in a variety of levels and locations, some commonplace, others bizarre, like Jelly, Origami, and Lava realms.

In Worms Across Worlds, you’ll find an exclusive campaign mode consisting of 12 chapters and 100 missions, which can be played alone or together with a friend in local co-op. Additionally, it retains all the classic elements from the Worms series, such as local multiplayer and quick matches against artificial intelligence.

The Worms series puts you in the shoes of one of these titular little critters, where your objective is to blast your opponent off a fully destructible map with all manner of weapons. With that in mind, then, Worms Across Worlds doesn’t look set to depart from the formula except with the addition of new and wacky battlegrounds.

I’m looking forward to finding out how Worms Across Worlds fares and what reaction it gets from fans upon its anticipated launch on August 7th. Fingers crossed that we’ll eventually see a version for both Android and iOS devices as well!
