Wright Brothers Biopic ‘Flyer’ In the Works From Wonder Project (Exclusive)

As a gamer with a deep-rooted appreciation for historical tales and a knack for spotting potential blockbusters, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement about this upcoming movie, Flyer. The Wright Brothers‘ story has always intrigued me, not just because they pioneered flight, but also due to their relentless pursuit of a dream against all odds.

The legendary story about the Wright Brothers and their creation of flight is being brought to life on the big screen by Wonder Project, a budding independent studio specializing in producing films and series tailored for audiences with spiritual and moral values worldwide.

Jon Gunn, a well-known figure in the faith sector and the director of ‘Ordinary Angel’ starring Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson, now serves as head of story. He will take up directing duties for the upcoming film titled ‘Flyer’. The production of this movie will be overseen by Jeremy Latcham, a former Marvel executive who recently produced ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’.

Wilbur and Orville Wright, two brothers, are renowned for creating the first flying machine at the dawn of the 20th century. Our project will explore how these bicycle mechanics ventured to the wind-swept heights of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, with the ambitious goal of claiming the title as history’s first aviators.

According to Gunn, Wilbur and Orville not only revolutionized human history but also the manner in which they accomplished this feat is equally remarkable. He stated that “Flyer” is an exceptionally American tale, emphasizing resilience, brimming with emotion, wit, and grandeur.

The Emmy-winning television news journalist, James Stolz, along with Peter Doyle, penned the script. Michael Musgrave, who holds the position of Vice President of Film at Wonder, is involved as the studio executive in this project.

The Flyer now joins the collection of tools used by the dynamic Wonder Project, a platform that proudly declares its purpose: to captivate the globe with bold narratives, ignite optimism, and rekindle trust in values worthy of our belief.

The first production, titled “House of David,” which is an expansive period drama series inspired by a Biblical character, will debut on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories globally at the beginning of next year. Simultaneously, they are finalizing post-production for “Sarah’s Oil,” a historical drama centered around an 11-year old African American girl who amassed millions at such a young age, starring Zachary Levi. Moreover, they are developing a comedy titled “The Breadwinner” featuring Nate Bargatze in the lead role. Latcham, serving as a senior advisor for Wonder Project, is also set to produce this upcoming project.
