Since its launch in May, Wuthering Waves has made significant strides. Already, Kuro Games has unveiled two games, one of them being Punishing: Gray Raven. Notably, WuWa marks their debut into the action roleplaying genre, offering an expansive open world, potentially challenging the popularity of Genshin Impact from miHoYo.
In the latest development, Wuthering Waves is set to broaden its narrative and unveil additional territories for players to traverse. The upcoming update version 2.2, titled “Tangled Truth in Reversed Spire,” slated for release on March 27, brings a fresh character and location along with new content.
In a new addition to Wuthering Waves, we have “Avinoleum,” which was previously a prestigious theological seminary from Rinascita. This location has borne witness to Rinascita’s splendor and harbored many of its hidden truths. Judging by the sneak peek, Avinoleum exudes elegance with its ornate exterior, and it appears considerably brighter than most previous locales in Wuthering Waves.
Not only are the fresh locales within the area stunningly beautiful, but there are five in all: Inverted Seminary, Tower of Redemption, Trail of Gifts, Zargon’s Sanctuary, and Confluence Spire. It seems quite plausible that gamers will reach these destinations as they progress through the primary narrative.
Version 2.2 of Wuthering Waves introduces new gameplay elements together with the expansion, Avinoleum. In this realm, you’ll find Gravity Calibrators – unique tools that manipulate gravity direction. Additionally, Ace Wings enable players to glide and snag light sparks on the Wind Trail.
The update introduces Flash Dodge as a mini-game played from above, where your goal is to evade lightning strikes indicated by red circles within the set time frame to stay alive. Additionally, players can engage in Boat Racing, where they navigate a Gondola, follow the trail of light sparks (circles that offer speed boosts), and reach the finishing point to receive rewards.
As a gamer, let me tell you about the latest gameplay addition: The Cloud Platformer. This feature might strike fear in the hearts of those who aren’t platforming pros like me! It involves a side-scrolling mini-game where you’ll navigate through levels, using various elements to help you reach the end.
In the upcoming Version 2.2 of Wuthering Waves, there’s much excitement brewing, particularly about the addition of Cantarella. Notably, upon its April release, players can enjoy the game directly through Steam.
