WWE Confirmed Superstars Headlining Saturday Night's Main Event Return To NBC. Here's Why I Think It's The Perfect Match For A Casual Audience

As a seasoned gamer and wrestling enthusiast with over three decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming NBC revival of Saturday Night’s Main Event is an event not to be missed. With its rich history dating back to the 80s, this iconic broadcast has always been a staple for fans like me who grew up on Hulkamania and the Attitude Era.

Among all the forthcoming WWE events, I’m particularly excited about the comeback of Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC. Although most of the matches are scheduled for the 2025 TV lineup, December promises to bring the first episode that will offer a glimpse into what WWE has evolved into over the past year. The main event has been recently confirmed, and it pits two superstars who I believe would appeal not just to longtime fans, but also new spectators and those returning after a long hiatus.

Speculation swirls around The Rock potentially appearing at WrestleMania 41 and Monday Night Raw landing on Netflix, which could draw fresh viewers to WWE in 2025. Consequently, here’s why tuning in to Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th promises a captivating sneak peek into the future, especially regarding the lineup for the main event night.

Cody Rhodes Will Defend His Championship Title Against Kevin Owens

For the second occasion this year, Cody Rhodes will safeguard his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. Earlier, they had a friendly encounter at Bash In Berlin, but Rhodes managed to keep his title. Since then, Owens has grown resentful towards his former friend for joining forces with Roman Reigns and others. As a result, he’s vented his anger on Randy Orton and other individuals who have been allied with Rhodes in the past.

On SmackDown, Rhodes, clearly at his limit, issued a challenge that was later verified by the WWE. Regardless of whether the title gets switched, it’s an incredible start to WWE’s grand comeback on their broadcast.

Both Superstars And Their Feud Highlight What Is So Great About The Modern WWE

Hey fellow gamers, if you’re catching Saturday Night’s Main Event this week and aren’t deeply immersed in the world of WWE like Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold Steve Austin once were, you might notice something different about the ongoing feud between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Unlike past rivalries, both wrestlers have compelling arguments that resonate with viewers. As a supporter of Cody Rhodes, who is portrayed as the hero in the WWE, I can’t help but feel there will be plenty of fans siding with Kevin Owens and his justification for feeling wronged by someone he considered a friend.

Although Owens has faced criticism for adopting Stone Cold Steve Austin’s stunner finisher, it’s important to note that this match won’t resemble one from the Attitude Era. WWE performers have significantly improved their skills in the ring, not only by executing impressive moves but also through enhanced physical conditioning and maintaining high energy levels and pace.

Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes are two exceptional wrestlers who excel at performing an array of moves that keep viewers captivated on NBC or their Peacock Premium membership. Fingers crossed for another match to be included in the program, as I’m excited for everyone to experience what a Premium Live Event from this company is like in today’s time.

On Saturday, the 14th of December at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, I’ll be all set to catch the debut of “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on NBC and Peacock. I’m really excited to find out what the general public thinks about the revamped WWE appearance, and if it might attract any new fans. With a significant year ahead for the brand in 2025, this could be quite interesting!
