X-Men Become Disney Characters In Gorgeous Fan Art, And Beast 100% Looks Like He Belongs In The Lion King

As a film enthusiast with over three decades of cinematic adventures under my belt, I must say that this AI-generated Disneyfied X-Men is quite the intriguing blend of two iconic universes! While I’ve yet to encounter a feline Beast in any of my comic book or movie escapades, the results are undeniably charming and creative.

The artistic interpretation of Rogue as Ariel and Mystique as Belle’s purple counterpart certainly tickles my fancy, and it’s a delightful exercise in imagination. It’s not every day you see Nightcrawler channeling Disney Villain vibes or Gambit embodying the quintessential Disney Prince!

AI art may face criticism, but I find that these whimsical creations are a fun exploration of what could be. It’s like watching the X-Men characters step into a magical mirror and emerge as Disney characters – it’s a sight to behold!

Lastly, it’s worth noting that the only time we’ve seen anything resembling a “Disney version” of the X-Men was with Big Hero 6. However, these AI renderings are reminiscent of classic 2D Disney art, which makes them feel somewhat out of place alongside their 3D animated counterparts.

But hey, when you think about it, what’s more Disney than a team of mutants learning to work together and save the day? Now, if only they could teach Wolverine to sing “Whistle While You Work”… now that would be something truly magical!

For quite some time now, Disney has owned Marvel (purchase made several years ago) and later Fox as well (acquisition more recent). Combined, these deals allowed the X-Men to join the Disney universe. Although we’re yet to fully grasp what the X-Men’s destiny in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be, a creative fan combined with AI technology has given us a sneak peek into how the X-Men might appear as classic Disney-style animated characters.

The X-Men are no strangers to animation, and the recent X-Men ‘97, available with a Disney+ subscription, reminded us just how great the team works in that medium. However, somebody decided to take things a step further and used AI to generate a look at several of the X-Men if they were drawn in the style of Disney animation characters, posting the results to Instagram, and considering Beast looks like he came right out of The Lion King, I’d say it works.

Furthermore, every female character appears to have a facial structure reminiscent of Disney Renaissance princesses. The character Rogue seems similar to Ariel, while Mystique gives off an impression that she might be a purple version of Belle. It’s quite intriguing.

As someone who has been captivated by Disney animations since my childhood, I must admit that the AI-generated version of Beast resembles a character straight out of a Disney movie. With his bipedal blue Simba-like appearance, it’s an innovative take on the character that catches my eye. However, as a devoted fan who has followed the evolution of the Beast throughout various adaptations, I have to say that this version seems slightly removed from the original character’s essence. While I appreciate the creativity and enjoy it from a fan perspective, I can’t help but feel that something feels off about it compared to my memories of the classic Beast. Nonetheless, I remain intrigued by this new interpretation and look forward to seeing more adaptations in the future!

As a long-time fan of the X-Men, I must say that Nightcrawler has always intrigued me with his mysterious and enchanting presence, reminiscent of a Disney villain. However, Gambit’s character leaves me feeling underwhelmed; he seems to lack originality and comes across as too generic for my liking. But when it comes to Cyclops and Wolverine, they truly stand out with their unique styles that have captured my attention over the years. Each of these characters has left an indelible mark on me through their distinct personalities and appearances, making them unforgettable in the X-Men universe.

AI-generated art often receives its fair share of critique, yet there are instances where it offers an enjoyable experience. For example, envisioning the characters from “The Boys” rendered in Pixar’s distinctive style can be quite entertaining.

The characters from Big Hero 6 were the only Marvel heroes who received a “Disney-style” portrayal. Since these depictions are reminiscent of Disney’s traditional 2D art, and Big Hero 6 was a 3D animated movie, it seems somewhat inconsistent that they coexist in the same universe.

In simpler terms, we can expect the true “Disney interpretation” of the X-Men when they officially become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an upcoming Marvel film. This will mark the first time Disney, through Marvel Studios, creates a version of the team that has been entirely developed under Disney. It’s bound to be quite intriguing!
