As a diehard Marvel fan, I can’t hide my excitement as Jake Schreier, fresh from directing Marvel’s Thunderbolts, is reportedly in negotiations for another stint with the powerhouse company, this time for the live-action reboots of the X-Men.
Reports state that Schreier, who recently directed a highly acclaimed Marvel film, is in preliminary discussions for an upcoming project. Michael Lesslie, known for writing ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, is working on the script with Kevin Feige, the regular producer at Marvel Studios. The title for this yet-to-be-named feature remains undecided at this point.
For several weeks, Marvel has been discreetly working towards selecting a director for the X-Men franchise. This week, discussions about the potential director have gained momentum.
