As a die-hard fan of Yo Yo Honey Singh, I can say with absolute certainty that his journey from the streets to the top has been nothing short of inspiring. The way he handles his past and present relationships, especially with his colleagues like Raftaar and Badshah, showcases not only his resilience but also his unwavering belief in himself and his talent.
“Yo Yo Honey Singh once said that there’s a big difference between a Rolls Royce and a Nano, which was a comparison he made with his former friend Badshah. They had a falling out in 2009, and though the specific reasons are unknown, things escalated when Badshah attacked Honey Singh in his songs. Despite taking a break due to health issues, Honey Singh has not forgotten their past.”
In a conversation with The Lallantop, Honey was questioned about potentially working with his former colleagues Raftaar and Badshah again. Regarding this, the rapper expressed his thoughts clearly. “Raftaar has produced more diss tracks aimed at me than Badshah, yet I respect Raftaar as he’s a street-born talent that I selected myself,” Honey said in Hindi. “However, it is unfortunate that he turned against me due to external influence.”
In a recent disclosure, the Brown Rang singer mentioned an incident where Raftaar once apologized to him during their travels. However, within six months, Raftaar released a diss track aimed at him again. Singh stated that Raftaar tends to write more about others than himself. “If opportunities for work with Raftaar, Lil Golu, and Ikka arise, I will definitely take them because these are stars who have risen from the streets,” Honey emphasized firmly, asserting that he will never collaborate with Badshah.
When inquired if he’s still resentful towards Badshah, Honey replied, “I may still feel angry, but not personally… Not towards him.” This is because their first encounter occurred when Honey’s father was approached to create music for Badshah’s English song, marking the initial collaboration between them and the affluent family of Badshah.
Currently, Yo Yo Honey Singh is actively promoting his freshly launched album titled “Glory.” This collection includes a variety of songs such as “Millionaire,” “Jatt Mehkma,” “High on Me,” “Fuck Them,” “Bonita,” “Hide It,” “Malamaal,” “Rounds N Ring,” “Lapata,” “Payal,” “Caliente,” “6 AM,” “Majnoonh,” “Sheeshe Wali Chuni,” “Shamaan De Vele,” “Beeba,” “Chhori,” and “Rap God.”
