Ever since Johnny Depp’s defamation trial concluded a few years back, I, as a movie enthusiast, have been eagerly waiting to see him return to the big screen. And it seems my wait is finally over! The charismatic actor has been busy securing acting roles and even ventured into directing a film. Now, he’s taking on what appears to be one of his most mainstream projects in quite some time – Day Drinker.
Interestingly, Depp will share the screen once more with Penélope Cruz, a collaboration that promises to be intriguing. Recently, the first glimpse of our beloved actor in character for this film was unveiled, and I must say, the gray hair he’s sporting gives him an entirely new look – one that’s hard to recognize as Johnny Depp!
As a big fan, I’ve always admired the 61-year-old actor for his unique fashion choices on screen, and he never fails to leave us astonished with his artistic decisions. In the upcoming film “Day Drinker,” not only will he sport longer hair and a beard, but his iconic dreadlocks will also be graying. Initially, the image took me aback a little, given Johnny Depp’s iconic roles such as Edward Scissorhands, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Gellert Grindelwald. However, the transformation in this picture is noticeable enough that it could potentially confuse someone on first glance. It makes me ponder whether his character had gray hair written into the script or if this was a unique idea by Depp himself.
