Following the appearance at the Olympics for both Olympians and TK, Skims is launching its initial physical store, a flagship, right here in Los Angeles.

Established by Kim Kardashian, in collaboration with ex-Frame founder Jens Grede, this new fashion label is set to open on Sunset Strip (8569 W. Sunset Blvd.), right next to Mel’s Drive-In. The billionaire entrepreneur is planning a grand celebration for her brand’s inaugural store, partnering with the iconic greasy spoon neighbor for the Skims Drive-In event. This special occasion will feature an exclusive menu and Skims’ signature minimalist design accents throughout the Googie space.

The 4,546-square-foot boutique was designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd., and it showcases Skims’ signature color scheme. It manages to create an intriguing contrast between grand spaciousness and peaceful intimacy, as stated in a press release.

A striking 12-foot sculpture by modern Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft stands among Skims’ expansive assortment of shapewear, loungewear, undergarments, and accessories (priced between $16 and $228). The display includes a variety of items such as bras, including those with a unique nipple-forward design, supportive leggings that enhance the derrière, bodysuits, thongs, dresses, and more. You’ll find these and many other popular collections like Fits Everybody, Skims Ultimate Body, Soft Lounge, Seamless Sculpt, Cotton, and others. Additionally, you might come across charming pieces reminiscent of the brand’s recent wedding campaign featuring actor Patrick Schwarzenegger from ‘White Lotus’ and his fiancé Abby Champion.

Special items offered are the exclusive, limited-edition “Skims Loves LA” merchandise, which supports the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. Additionally, the store will be one of the first to carry the upcoming NikeSkims line before it becomes available worldwide in 2026 as part of its global expansion in the fitness collaboration label.

Expanding Skims to Los Angeles feels like coming full circle, as this city has played a significant role in my life,” Kardashian expresses in an announcement. “Having a physical location where customers can engage with the brand firsthand adds an extra layer of meaning to this milestone. We’re embarking on new adventures, and I’m eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.

From April 2nd to 6th, Skims’ restaurant will be taking over the operations at Mel’s Drive-In. During its run, it will be open according to Mel’s regular hours of operation. Shoppers have the privilege of being among the first to visit Skims’ temporary diner setup. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as buttermilk pancakes, Nutella French toast, a traditional egg breakfast with hash browns and bacon, both beef and Impossible burger patties, curly fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, milkshakes, brownies, and more. The Los Angeles branch is a part of the brand’s expansion, which began with the launch of its flagship store in New York City last March. This new location comes after retail outlets were opened in Austin, Atlanta, Aventura, Florida, Georgetown, and Houston during the previous year.

In 2019, SKIMS made its debut focusing on shapewear, later expanding into men’s clothing in 2023. This brand collaborated with the National Basketball Association and is now the official undergarment partner for the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball.

Skims is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
