- Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’s Shadow Duelist 3 is none other than actor Dylan Sprouse
- Sprouse was unmasked as part of the tournament, where he played the villainous Baron Bloodthorne
- The tournament winner took home their custom, autographed mask as a trophy
The fan base for Yu-Gi-Oh! transcends boundaries such as age, sex, and country. It appears this fandom extends into the world of celebrities now! In fact, the most recent Shadow Duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, Baron Bloodthorne, was revealed to be none other than renowned actor Dylan Sprouse during the finale of the Shadow Duelist tournament yesterday.
As a die-hard fan, I must say that Dylan and his twin brother Cole are undeniably famous for their roles in the Suite Life series on the Disney Channel. Yet, since they’ve ventured into individual careers, it’s only natural to find Dylan Sprouse gracing our screens as Baron Bloodthorne – just another notch in their already impressive belts.
Just as Dylan Sprouse’s voice character, Alith Anaar, in Total War: Warhammer II, provided tough competition, he also left duelists from the Shadow Duelist series breathless. Similar to other renowned personalities who assumed secret identities and masks to participate in the tournament against previous winners, Sprouse joined their ranks.
Masking required
The two previous Shadow Duelists have been WWE superstar Xavier Woods and One Direction member Zayn Malik, both of whom sported their own mask designs. The winner of the tournament not only got the glory of unmasking Sprouse (as Baron Bloodthorne) but also received the mask as a trophy, with an accompanying autograph from the actor.
Without a doubt, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel requires no introduction as one of the highly successful mobile and console versions of the globally recognized Trading Card Game (TCG). Yet, the Shadow Duelist series has gained immense popularity among fans of this multiplatform card battle game, which has been making waves in the news, for valid reasons.
Without the ban-list, it wouldn’t feel like Yu-Gi-Oh!, and this is especially important when diving into Master Duel. At the pro level, you should definitely get acquainted with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel restricted cards list.
