Yudhra: Siddhant Chaturvedi on being called ‘arrogant’ for his ‘struggle’ remark on Ananya Panday; 'Hard to survive in this industry if you don’t…’

As a lifestyle expert, I find Siddhant Chaturvedi to be a refreshingly candid and confident individual, who embodies the spirit of self-worth and determination. His life experiences, rooted in humble beginnings, have undeniably shaped his character and fueled his success in Bollywood.

Siddhant Chaturvedi is straightforward, preferring to speak honestly rather than softening his words. In fact, if a spade were a person, he’d likely call it exactly that. Recently busy promoting his film Yudhra, the actor has reflected on his viral comment about Gehraiyaan co-star Ananya Panday, clarifying that his confidence, not arrogance, was behind his statement, which he believed was correct.

Siddhant explained to India Today, “Recently, some folks have labeled me as arrogant, following my comment at the Actors Roundtable. However, I want to clarify that it’s not arrogance, but rather self-assurance. In this competitive field, I believe you need to assert yourself if you want to survive. At times, standing firm can appear haughty or overconfident, but for me, it’s the fire that ignites my spirit.

For those unfamiliar, Chaturvedi’s comment was recently reappeared as a joke in Ananya’s latest program Call Me Bae. Siddhant expresses that if he doesn’t speak up, there’s a strong possibility people might pressurize him for not acknowledging his self-worth and values. The actor explained that despite his humble origins and gratitude for the affection he’s received, he believes it’s important to voice one’s feelings at times.

In the same interview, Chaturvedi expressed concerns about how the public relations-focused market is becoming overwhelming. He suggested that even when an actor delivers a powerful performance, they can still be overshadowed by someone else’s PR efforts. “Currently, it’s all about perception in Bollywood,” he said, “and unfortunately, there’s little substance or depth. PR and frequent public appearances can easily manipulate this, leaving no room for originality or reliability.

In terms of his acting career, Siddhant will appear in the upcoming film “Yudhra,” directed by Ravi Udyawar. This screenplay was penned by Shridhar Raghavan, with dialogues provided by Farhan Akhtar and Akshat Ghildial. This action-packed thriller is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The cast includes Malavika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla. The release date for the movie in theaters is set for September 20, 2024.

The comedy-drama series starring Ananya Panday, titled “Call Me Bae,” is now available on Amazon Prime Video and is receiving praise for her acting skills.
