As a lifelong skateboarding enthusiast, I am absolutely thrilled by the latest collaboration between Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome and DDTStore by AllRightsReserved. This limited-edition sculpture, titled “Yutornado,” captures the essence of one of Horigome’s signature moves in a stunningly detailed miniature figure.
Being a skater myself, I can appreciate the intricate details that go into such a piece, from the twisting body to the rippling clothing folds, and especially the sense of motion that the sculpture conveys. The fact that this sculpture is inspired by Horigome’s own innovative move, the “Yutornado,” makes it even more special.
Horigome’s accomplishments in skateboarding are truly inspiring, and I am in awe of his skill and determination. It’s exciting to see him collaborating with brands like Nike and Seiko, but this limited sculpture release feels particularly personal. As a collector, I can’t help but feel a connection to Horigome’s journey and the unique story behind this piece.
Limited to an edition of 500, the “Yutornado” sculpture is the perfect addition for any skateboarding fan or art enthusiast. Its size of approximately 22 x 9.3 x 12.1 inches and the fact that it comes signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity only adds to its appeal.
To top it all off, I find myself chuckling at the thought of owning a miniature sculpture of Horigome performing one of his iconic spins. It’s like having my very own personal Yutornado on display! This is definitely a must-have item for any skateboarding fan, and I can’t wait to see what other collaborations Horigome has up his sleeve in the future.
As an avid gamer, I’m hyped to announce that Olympic skateboarding legend Yuto Horigome is collaborating with DDTStore by AllRightsReserved for a limited-time sculpture drop based on my iconic trick, the “Yutornado.” This masterpiece is a tribute to Horigome’s incredible career journey and will be unveiled to mark his 26th birthday. Can’t wait to see it!
Made from vinyl and gold-painted details, this miniature sculpture depicts Horigome mid-spin, one of his famous whirlwind moves. With arms spread wide, the statue gives an impression of movement, echoed in the twisting form of the skater and the rippling folds on his attire. The figure stands atop a gold, bar-like base, which displays the artwork’s title in big, bold letters.
At the Street League Skateboarding Tokyo 2023, Horigome introduced his innovative move known as the “Yutornado” – a sequence involving a 270-degree spin and a nose slide followed by another 270-degree spin to dismount. This move now stands among the select few tricks bearing the name of their inventor.
As the inaugural Olympic champion in the sport, winning another gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games, the skateboarder has garnered interest from renowned brands such as Nike and Seiko. However, this particular event marks his initial limited-edition sculpture launch.
This unique piece, titled “Yutornado,” is part of a limited run of only 500 pieces and measures approximately 22 x 9.3 x 12.1 inches in size. Each one comes with a signed certificate of authenticity and is numbered for verification. For those interested, the sculpture will be available for purchase starting January 6 at 10pm EST for roughly $202 USD or HKD 1570 on the DDTStore.
