Zayn Malik Reveals New U.S. Tour Dates Following Liam Payne’s Death

As a long-time fan and follower of One Direction, the news of Liam Payne’s untimely death has left me deeply saddened and shocked. I remember the days when Zayn, Liam, and the rest of the band brought joy and music to millions around the world, including myself.

On a recent Wednesday, Zayn Malik unveiled the schedule for his upcoming U.S. tour. Earlier, the artist had decided to reschedule these concerts following the unfortunate news of the passing of his ex-bandmate from One Direction, Liam Payne.

Zayn Malik is set to kick off his “Stairway to the Sky” tour once again on January 21 in Washington, DC. After that, he’ll move on to New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. The tour will wrap up in San Francisco on February 3.

Earlier plans had set the cities for their shows in October and November of the current year, with a performance in San Francisco scheduled for a Wednesday evening.

On a deeply sorrowful Saturday, I shared that my tour had to be put on hold due to the devastating loss of my dear friend Louis, who passed away last Wednesday. It’s a pain I can hardly express.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, I took a fateful leap from the Casa Sur Hotel’s balcony, an act that ultimately proved fatal for me. Medical officials later revealed that I succumbed to severe trauma and both internal and external bleeding. Preliminary toxicology reports hinted at traces of cocaine in my system.

In the days following his friend’s passing, Zayn took to social media to express his gratitude: “I didn’t get the chance to thank you enough for standing by me during some of my toughest moments. As a 17-year-old kid, you were always there with a hopeful attitude and encouraging smile, reminding me that I had a friend who loved me. Although you were younger than me, you often showed wisdom beyond your years, being bold, outspoken, and unafraid to call out wrongdoing. Our disagreements were few because of this, but I secretly admired your courage for it.

Following a unified statement from the previous band members, the tribute was expressed as: “After hearing about Liam’s passing, we are utterly devastated. As time goes on and everyone is ready, more words will follow. But for now, we need to mourn and come to terms with the loss of our cherished brother. The moments we shared with him will be forever precious. At this moment, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans who adored him as much as we did. We’ll deeply miss him. Love you Liam.
