Zeenat Aman reveals having least interaction with THIS actor from Kapoor Khandan; recalls when he was made to appear ‘taller’

Zeenat Aman has been reminiscing on her Instagram, frequently posting anecdotes from her famous films’ production. In a recent post, the Bollywood starlet, affectionately known as “Chintu ji” by Rishi Kapoor, recounted an amusing incident when they worked together, where Rishi was made to appear taller than her during a scene due to their height difference.

Their collaboration only took place once in the 1977 film Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, directed by Nasir Hussain. Despite both being prominent figures in the industry at the time, they seldom worked together. Zeenat shared a clip from the movie featuring a lively scene and a song, discussing her unique experience working with Rishi.

In her post, she mentioned that despite their long careers overlapping, they interacted the least among the Kapoor family members, both socially and professionally. During this film, she only performed one Qawwali number (the only one in her career) and a romantic scene with Rishi.

She humorously revealed that during filming, the height difference between them caused some concern on set. Standing tall herself, Zeenat admitted that many of her co-stars found it undesirable for a leading lady to be taller than her male counterpart. This issue was particularly evident in their scene together.

“So there we were, Chintu ji and I acting flirtatious for the camera on a red leather couch,” she wrote. “However, our seating positions made our height difference more noticeable. To Rishi’s dismay, Nasir Saab added cushions under him to make it seem like he was taller than me!”

Zeenat also explained that director Nasir Hussain believed she was his lucky charm after their successful collaboration in Yaadon Ki Baaraat. He requested her to do a special appearance in Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, and she agreed without realizing it would result in such an unforgettable filming experience.
