Zendaya, Jeremy Allen White Kick Off Olympics Festivities with Star-Studded Paris Celebration

As a hardcore gamer with years of experience immersed in virtual worlds and competitive esports scenes, I can only dream of experiencing such a star-studded event as the Prelude to the Olympics night at Paris. The sight of Hollywood’s elite mingling with sporting legends like Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

The night prior to the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, Paris was graced with the presence of Hollywood, eager for a grand celebration.

Charlique Theron, Serena Williams, Rosalía, and Omar Sy worked together to oversee the Olympic pre-opening gala at Paris’ illustrious Fondation Louis Vuitton on Thursday. Brian Roberts, Comcast NBCUniversal’s chairman and CEO, Bernard Arnault, LVMH’s chairman and CEO, Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director, and Anna Wintour acted as the event’s gracious hosts, bringing together sports, culture, music, fashion, and art for an unforgettable evening.

Stars shone brightly at the extravaganza, graced by the presence of luminaries such as Zendaya, Mick Jagger, Jeremy Allen White, LeBron James, Zac Efron, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, Elizabeth Banks, John Mulaney, Judd Apatow, Steven Spielberg, Jon M. Chu, Baz Luhrmann, Spike Lee, Daniel Kwan, Novak Djokovic, and Naomi Osaka. The lineup saw Tyla take the stage, while Pharrell previewed his latest single titled “Triumphus Cosmos,” perfectly synchronized with the ongoing Games.

Pharrell played a significant role in organizing the event, inviting artists such as KAWS, JR, Daniel Arsham, Derek Fordjour, Honor Titus, and Julia Chiang to create engaging art installations and games based on tennis, basketball, archery, and equestrianism. In keeping with the Olympics’ spirit of giving back, Comcast NBCUniversal made a generous donation to the International Olympic Committee Olympic Refuge Foundation. This contribution not only supports aspiring Olympians but also the 36 refugee athletes representing 11 countries who are participating in the Olympics in Paris this year.

On Friday at noon Eastern Time, NBC and Peacock will broadcast the Opening Ceremony in real time. The evening prime-time coverage will be shown on NBC and Peacock starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time.
