As a seasoned gamer of both digital and physical timepieces, I must say that the Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Boutique Edition has caught my eye with its sleek design and robust mechanical prowess. With a life spent navigating virtual worlds and battling pixelated foes, I appreciate the precision and reliability embodied in this watch’s El Primero 3600 movement.
In April, Zenith introduced the Defy Skyline Chronograph during Watches & Wonders Geneva. Now, just under six months later, the Swiss brand is unveiling its initial boutique version, featuring a slate gray and golden dial.
In a 42mm stainless steel casing, this timepiece showcases Zenith’s iconic octagonal design with a faceted bezel. The dial is a slate gray that harmoniously matches the case and band. It features three overlapping chronograph counters in a matching tone. Additionally, golden accents add warmth and depth to the watch face through engraved stars, indices, and hands.
The El Primero 3600 movement, which Zenith is particularly proud of and serves as the pulse of this watch, offers approximately 60 hours of uninterrupted power to its essential features, including hour display, minutes, date, a stop-second mechanism, and a 1/10th of a second chronograph function.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: Just like its predecessors, the elite Defy Skyline Chronograph is mine for approximately 13,000 USD or 12,900 CHF. This exclusive timepiece comes with an integrated steel band and an optional black rubber strap, which can only be purchased from Zenith’s physical or online boutiques.
