ZZ Top’s Frank Beard is back (but where was he?)

It’s hard to imagine ZZ Top without the dynamic trio of Billy Gibbons, Elwood Francis, and Frank Beard. They’ve been creating music together for over five decades, and when one of them isn’t present, it seems as though something vital is missing from the world.

As a gamer putting on my drumming headphones, I’ve been away from the band for a couple of months now. There’s been some uncertainty about whether I’d be back in the groove with them again. The reason for my absence was some troublesome foot and ankle issues – something that can be pretty debilitating for a drummer like me, as it hinders the rhythm and flow essential to our performance.

It’s great news that Beard (presumably a member or part of ZZ Top) seems to have recovered from those health issues, and they are all set for a tour! ZZ Top is embarking on a wide-ranging North American tour from mid-June till early October. Regardless of where you reside, it’s likely that the band will be performing nearby.

ZZ Top is back on tour and Frank Beard is returning too
