After receiving an award-winning contribution in 2023, Talking Tom & Friends is participating again in the Green Game Jam event this year. Both Talking Tom Gold Run and My Talking Tom Friends are hosting eco-friendly in-game activities until September 19, focusing on the topic of recycling. To assist you in contributing to a worthy cause this month, here are some practical tips for optimizing your experience with both events.
1 Collect Trash Bags during runs
Apart from the standard gold, jewels, dynamite, and power-ups, you’ll encounter Pink Recycling Bags throughout each running world during the Restore the Planet event. These bags are hard to overlook due to their bright pink color and recycling symbol. These bags can be recycled for different prizes, so make an effort to gather as many as you can. They’re present in every main and side world, but not in race mode. Additionally, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM daily, all Pink Recycling Bags will double, allowing you to collect two at a time.
2 Recycle plastic for bonus Trash Bags
Besides occasionally spotting plastic trash scattered on the road, you might also notice it. It’s an unfortunate scene but one that can be easily improved by nudging the plastic towards a recycling bin marked with a target. Approach the plastic and you’ll be able to kick it into the target and the bin, which will reward you with extra trash bags.
3 Win Trash bags on the reward wheel
On the main screen of the game, you’ll find a treasure chest overflowing with coins, gems, dynamites, and Trash Bags. By tapping this and watching an advertisement until it finishes, you’ll earn the opportunity to spin the reward wheel. Simply tap ‘SPIN IT’ and be patient to see which prize you’ve won. During the Restore the Planet event, you receive two prizes each time – one standard prize, along with extra Trash Bags as a bonus.
4 Exchange dynamites for Trash Bags
In the game Talking Tom Gold Run, dynamites are typically employed to blast open safes. But during the Restore the Planet event, players can swap these dynamites for Trash Bags instead. To make this trade, simply tap on the Trash Bag icon situated at the top of your main screen. This action will transport you to the Restore the Planet interface, where you can then scroll down and press the button corresponding to the number of trash bags you want to exchange.
5 Recycle your Trash Bags, clean the planet, and get rewards
Once you’ve accumulated enough trash bags to reach your goal, simply press the ‘Recycle’ button on the “Save Our Planet” interface to process your trash, contribute to planetary cleanup efforts, and receive a reward. The rewards vary and may include gems, dynamites, power-ups, and new outfits, such as the latest Eco Angela ensemble.

6 Clean up some garbage
The transformation of your friends’ waste into seeds and plant nutrients begins when a friend identifies and discards some nearby organic trash. Look for a thought bubble with a recycling symbol over their head, signaling their readiness to assist. Click on the thought bubble, sending them to gather waste from the nearest pile. You can either wait approximately a minute for them to complete the task or accelerate it by watching an advertisement. Upon completion, a bubble will appear above your friend’s head containing bus tokens, friendship passes, and a recycling symbol. Click this bubble to receive your rewards – three sets of organic vegetable seeds and three bottles of plant food.
7 Plant the seeds
To begin your vegetable-growing journey, simply click the “Plant” option when the reward pop-up appears, which will take you straight to your garden. If you’d prefer a more interactive approach, choose a character and lead them to the garden by tapping on it (or dragging them there). Once they’re in the garden, press the gamepad button that appears above their head to start gardening. Lastly, select the seed packs located on the left side of the screen (or drag them into the garden) to plant your seeds and watch them grow!
8 Grow and harvest your veggies
Following the planting of your seeds, they’ll gradually start sprouting. To expedite this growth, consider using some organic fertilizer. Just give the bottle a gentle tap or drag it straight onto your plants for quicker growth. In many cases, this could be enough to mature your plants entirely, but if not, you can briefly water them with the hose. When they’re fully grown, simply tap the vegetables to harvest them and store them in your refrigerator.
9 Feed the veggies to the friends
The next time one of your friends feels peckish, they’ll be able to enjoy the farm-fresh, organic veggies you assisted them in growing right in their own backyard. To invite them to sit down, you can either pull them towards the table or tap the table and then select a character followed by the fork and knife icon if it appears. When they take their seat, tap the blue knife and fork button. Then swipe through the available dishes using the yellow arrows until you find the homegrown veggies. Tap on them or drag them onto the seated friend to serve them.
10 REplay, REgrow, and REuse
Following their meal, additional waste is likely to accumulate somewhere in the house, initiating another round of cleaning. This is what makes the Regrow Your Food event so intriguing – it’s a continuous process where you’re contributing positively at each stage. Cleaning up yields seeds and compost, sowing those seeds results in edible produce, and consuming that food generates new waste for cleaning up again. Throughout this event, your friends will always be occupied and well-nourished!
