One unique aspect that sets CBS’s “Ghosts” comedy apart is its rich layer of depth in world-building. The show’s writers are adept at addressing the numerous questions arising from the basic premise, providing creative solutions through intricate storylines and character development. While many aspects of the series have been explained, there remain several intriguing elements that spark curiosity – encompassing both fundamental facts and episode-specific events. This article aims to delve into these captivating parts of the show’s universe.
Since “Ghosts” is a continuous television series (with all episodes available for streaming on Paramount+), it’s likely that some questions will be answered over time and new ones will arise. However, after re-watching the series myself, these are the 12 questions that have caught my attention so far.
What Was Sasappis’ Cause Of Death?
It’s known that the second oldest ghost residing at Woodstone, whose life ended on the night he was about to dedicate himself to storytelling, possesses the ability to intrude upon the dreams of the living. However, the circumstances surrounding Sasappis’ death remain a mystery. Previously, a similar question regarding Hetty’s demise was addressed in Season 3’s “Holes Are Bad.” Unlike Hetty, Sasappis does not seem to brood over his passing, and there is no tangible evidence available to fuel speculation. Yet, it seems likely that the show will reveal the cause of Sasappis’ death before Ghosts concludes.
What Is Hetty’s Ghost Power?
In the third season of “Ghosts”, we finally discovered how Hetty passed away, yet among the eight primary spirits that have been introduced throughout the series, she remains the only one yet to uncover her unique ability. Earlier, it seemed as if she could send ghosts to hell (as hinted in Season 1’s “The Vault”), but this notion was soon disproved. However, we’ve only recently learned about Sasappis’ dream walking and Pete’s capacity to leave the property, suggesting that Hetty’s power might be revealed shortly.
Will We Get To Learn About Supporting Ghosts’ Powers, Like The Cholera Ghosts And British Revolutionary Ghosts?
For these lesser-known ghosts outside the primary group of eight, their unique powers seem to manifest unpredictably. Take for instance Patience’s ability to cause walls to bleed, Elias Woodstone’s charm that leaves people feeling amorous, and Sam’s mother who can emit shrimp breath. However, the mystery surrounding the abilities of ghosts like Cholera, British Revolutionary figures, Stephanie (the prom ghost), and Pete’s ex-wife Carol remains a gamble. While we anticipate learning about Hetty’s power, whether or not we’ll discover more about these characters’ special talents is anyone’s guess.
Why Do Ghosts Not Fall Through The Floor, And Why Can They Use Furniture?
In this article, I wanted to bring up a point that has been explicitly discussed by the show’s characters and is quite intriguing. The spirits in this series can walk through walls as if they’re insubstantial, yet they seem to stand on the ground and interact with furniture like chairs, sofas, and beds as though these objects are solid. Moreover, it’s been established that there are certain materials that the deceased cannot pass through (such as the material of the secret vault). This leads us to wonder if perhaps there could be pockets in the earth where ghosts might accidentally fall and become trapped?
How Is The Geography Of Ghost Boundaries Determined?
In Season 3’s episode “The Traveling Agent,” we learned that Pete can depart from Woodstone, which is exciting news! However, I must confess that I’m still puzzled about how ghost boundaries operate. It seems there might be a connection to property lines, but this theory doesn’t quite hold up when considering that Thor and Sasappis were traversing the land long before the mansion was erected. This leaves me questioning whether ghosts could potentially travel farther if, hypothetically, Sam and Jay were ever to acquire the Farnsby house.
Why Do Ghosts Have To Sleep?
As a movie enthusiast, I find it peculiar that these spectral beings need sleep, considering their status as the departed. It’s almost like they’re defying death by resting, which seems contradictory to the phrase “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” Although the idea of ghosts needing rest was briefly mentioned in the series Ghosts, we haven’t delved deeper into this aspect of their post-life existence just yet.
Why Are There So Many Ghosts On The Woodstone Property?
This question primarily originates from “Alberta’s Fan” in Season 1, where Isaac suggests that only about five percent of people transform into ghosts after death. It’s possible that the former Continental Army officer is mistaken, but if his statement is correct, it’s puzzling why so many spirits are wandering Woodstone property. If we assume there are approximately 20 ghosts present, that would imply that around 400 individuals have passed away at Woodstone, which seems unusually high.
How Many Cholera Ghosts Are There?
On the topic of estimating ghost numbers, let’s briefly touch upon the number of spirits inhabiting the Woodstone basement. Throughout the series, we’ve noticed that the group of cholera ghosts seems to fluctuate in size, a variation I assume is linked to the practicalities of TV production – filming, scheduling, or business matters. However, this inconsistency makes it challenging to determine an exact count. Could there be 10 or even 24? The numbers remain uncertain.
What’s Going On With The Ghosts Living In The Dirt?
On the show, the population of cholera spirits isn’t the only enigma; in Season 4’s “Halloween 4: The Witch,” Patience revealed her decision to depart and join other ghostly inhabitants residing in the dirt. This revelation left the others taken aback. However, we’re unsure about who these other characters are, how many there are, and what their individual backstories entail. As of now, our curiosity is piqued concerning this aspect of Ghosts.
How Much More Could The Ghost Trap Do, And Where Is It?
If there’s any one aspect of the TV show Ghosts that I long to revisit someday, it’s the ghost trap from Season 2’s “Ghost Hunter,” as I have a myriad of unresolved questions surrounding it. The fact that this device operates implies that there are individuals in our world who understand the reality of ghosts (apparently, some people living in Latvia). However, what intrigues me most is discovering all the capabilities of the trap. For instance, could it potentially transport spirits across ghost barriers? Regrettably, since its debut, the device has neither been spotted nor mentioned again.
Do Functional Exorcism And Possession Videos Online Suggest A Lot Of People Know About Ghosts?
It appears that those who designed the Latvian trap have knowledge suggesting that spirits exist… However, they aren’t the only ones, as demonstrated by Sam and Jay’s ability to locate and employ paranormal tutorial videos from online sources. It’s plausible that some content creators are unintentionally discovering methods to alter natural laws, but if not, I’m curious about how they devise these techniques; I’d be intrigued to learn more.
What Would Happen To Sam If Her Secret Got Out?
In many instances, pop culture emphasizes that keeping quiet about supernatural phenomena such as powers or entities from other realms is usually wise. Revealing secrets often triggers tests, suffering, and even death. However, I can’t help but ponder the consequences if Sam’s capacity to communicate with ghosts were made public – considering the fact that widespread understanding of afterlife regulations could possibly disrupt our current society structure.
Currently, Ghosts Season 4 is being broadcasted, and with each episode, fresh mysteries unfold while resolving old ones. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated on these developments right here!
