At Pocket Gamer Connects events, The Big Indie Pitch is consistently an enjoyable aspect. During this particular event, it was the independent game pitching competition on the sidelines that took place in Dubai, which was associated with the Dubai Game Expo Summit.

Many of these games are either unpublished or in the early stages of development, making their first public appearance here! It’s an exhilarating experience, and we thought it would be fantastic to give you a sneak peek at these extraordinary games and studios as well. Pocket Gamer Connect events all over the world have Very Big Indie Pitches, along with other major gaming events. The goal is to highlight more indies and their developers, something we always strive to do on Pocket Gamer.

In terms of the game selection, this edition featured numerous titles across diverse platforms, created by developers ranging from seasoned veterans to fresh newcomers. 1 Talystro by Filiokus

Once again, Talystro took to the stage with their unique rougelite card-building game, which bears a resemblance to Cuphead in its artistic style. The gameplay revolves around executing attacks that match the enemy’s value by skillfully rolling dice and playing your cards optimally. It’s designed to be a challenging experience, demanding players to think critically, solve problems creatively, and strategize effectively using available resources. As you progress, you can improve your deck, boost character abilities, and so forth.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve found myself captivated by the unique charm of Mad King Redemption – a retro-style beat ’em up that masterfully combines 2D characters within a 3D world. What sets this game apart is its roguelike progression system, offering an engaging and unpredictable adventure every time you play.

In the storyline of Mad King Redemption, I find myself on a mission to confront the Mad King, a tyrant who has harnessed forbidden magic in a desperate attempt to resurrect his beloved queen.
