1923 Stars Reveal SHOCKING Plans For 1944! Taylor Sheridan, Are You Watching?!

Head’s Up! The following narrative discloses plot details from Season 2 of ‘1923’. To enjoy the complete series, consider subscribing to Paramount+.

As the year 1923 concluded on the 2025 TV lineup, we witnessed a conclusive end to this specific chapter in the Duttons’ narrative. Moreover, it provided an excellent foundation for what might be the upcoming installment of the Yellowstone series titled 1944. Consequently, I was curious to learn if Michelle Randolph and Darren Mann could potentially participate in this forthcoming project, given that it is expected to focus on their direct descendants. I also hope that Taylor Sheridan is jotting down notes for this potential sequel.

Even Though Jack Is Dead, Darren Mann Has An Idea For How He Could Be In 1944

This narrative begins following my chat with Darren Mann on the final day of our discussion about the deadly sixth episode of “1923”. Upon learning about Jack Dutton’s tragic demise, I shared with his portrayer that I was genuinely disappointed to see him go. I even playfully suggested he could return as a ghost or similar entity. To my surprise, he responded by telling me:

No one better person to play Jack’s son in 1944 than Jack.

As we were joking about it, I have to admit that I’m quite fond of the concept. Let’s not overlook the possibility that Spencer and Alex’s son John may not be Kevin Costner’s grandfather in Yellowstone. It’s plausible that Elizabeth had another son named John as well. Intriguingly, Darren Mann could perfectly embody this character if it turns out to be true.

Jack is dead, so he can’t play him. So, why can’t he play his kid?

Michelle Randolph Is Ready To Play An Older Elizabeth In 1944

In a somewhat distinct scenario compared to her screen spouse, Michelle Randolph’s character, Elizabeth, has the potential to reappear, given that she endured a harsh winter in 1923 and survived the finale fight. Hypothetically, this could mean her return in the year 1944.

After Elizabeth departed from the ranch following Jack’s demise, there seemed to be a possibility that she might return one day. As a result of my discussion with Mann, I shared his thoughts with Randolph and inquired about her intentions regarding reprising her role in the 1944 production or if she knew any other actresses who could take on the part. In reply, she indicated:

It goes without saying that I aspire to portray the character of Elizabeth. It’s amusing that Darren mentioned it. In fact, there are actresses whom I admire deeply and would be thrilled to embody the older version of myself in a role. However, playing Elizabeth is more enticing to me than any other roles I could imagine. I’m ready for the makeup and prosthetics!

In the year 1923, Elizabeth and Jack are freshly wedded and still quite young. Notably, Jack’s uncle, Spencer, survived until 1969. This suggests that Elizabeth might have a long life ahead of her as well, potentially reappearing in the year 1944, assuming the role of her character, which would place her around forty years old.

So, it’d probably be quite easy to have Randolph reprise the role and wear a few prosthetics.

Reflecting on this, I pondered over how Mandy Moore portrayed Rebecca across her lifetime in “This is Us” quite impressively with the aid of prosthetics. It struck me that the universe of “Yellowstone” might also attempt something similar, particularly if the cast is willing and Randolph seems to be on board.

With the anticipation of learning more about 1944, in the meantime, you can stream 1883 and 1923 over on Paramount+. Subscription plans start at just $7.99 a month, or upgrade to Premium for $12.99 a month which includes Showtime and no ads. Check it out here!

It’s quite plausible that we might see some character similarities between the years 1944 and 1923, given individuals like Spencer and possibly Elizabeth. Moreover, there are numerous opportunities for bringing back other actors as well. As Daren Mann mentioned, he could take on a new role. Furthermore, Isabel May demonstrated this flexibility by providing voiceovers as Elsa in both 1923 and Yellowstone following her character’s demise in 1883.

Taylor Sheridan, could we bring the actors back into the world of Yellowstone once more? I’d truly appreciate it. Thank you!
