As the last Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film in Phase 5 draws near within a few short weeks, enthusiasts might already be peeking forward towards Phase 6, marking a momentous occasion for two Marvel performers.
In essence, the division of Marvel’s story arcs, or Phases, beyond the end of Phase 1 with “The Avengers,” can sometimes appear to lack a clear and logical structure.
In the second phase, the storyline kicks off with Iron Man 3 and concludes with Ant-Man. Subsequently, Phase Three commences with Captain America: Civil War and culminates with Spider-Man: Far From Home.
As such, it is easy to lose track of which Phase the MCU is in now — Phase 5, soon to be Phase 6.
2 Actors Will Appear In All 6 MCU Phases
The revelation of various cast members for “Avengers: Doomsday” has solidified the fact that two beloved Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) characters will have made an appearance during each of the six phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Tom Hiddleston (Loki)
Initially, we find that Loki, portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, has been a constant presence throughout all Phases. In fact, Loki was the main antagonist in Phase 1 and, though apparently vanquished at its conclusion, he remains technically defeated.
Despite never halting the trickster god before, it appears his role in the timelines of the Multiverse for all time (as depicted in Loki Season 2) remains consistent, given Hiddleston’s upcoming appearance in Avengers: Doomsday.

Without a doubt, Sebastian Stan’s character, Bucky Barnes, in the “Captain America” films, has traversed a long and intricate path during his tenure within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Before viewers encounter Bucky in “Avengers: Doomsday,” they’ll first get to know more about him in the forthcoming “Thunderbolts” movie, which concludes Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is because Bucky, despite his advanced age, spent a significant portion of his years either frozen in ice or serving as a Hydra soldier/weapon.
