2024 Emmy Awards Nominations to Be Unveiled

As a huge fan of television and someone who has closely followed the Emmy Awards for years, I’m thrilled to see Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph leading the announcement of this year’s Emmys nominees. Their collective experience in the industry is truly inspiring.

The 2024 Emmys nominations are set to be unveiled on Wednesday.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that this year’s Emmy Award nominees will be announced by Tony Hale, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Cris Abrego during a live-streamed event from the El Capitan Theatre. So, stay tuned to find out who made it to the next level in TV entertainment!

Hale, a former cast member of “Veep” and three-time Emmy award recipient, was recognized twice for his work on the HBO political comedy series. On the other hand, Ralph, who won an Emmy for best supporting actress in a comedy series in 2022 for her role in “Abbott Elementary,” which airs on ABC, has continued to shine in this show. The third season concluded in May, and the program has already been renewed for another season.

The Emmy Awards, specifically the 76th edition, will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 15, Sundays at 5-8 p.m. Pacific Time and 8-11 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC. The Creative Arts ceremonies, where most Emmy statuettes are given out, are scheduled for September 7 and 8. As of now, there is no announced host for the ABC Emmys ceremony. However, Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay will executive produce the event for the second consecutive year.

In an unexpected turn of events, the 2023 Emmy Awards didn’t occur until January 2024. The ceremony was pushed back due to the writers and actors strikes, eventually being held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 15, and broadcasted on Fox. At this rescheduled event, HBO’s “Succession,” FX’s “The Bear,” and Netflix’s “Beef” emerged as the major victors. These shows claimed the top honors in the drama, comedy, and limited series categories respectively. Notably, all three productions secured awards for their exceptional writing and direction as well.

In the drama acting categories, “Succession” stood out as the clear winner. Kieran Culkin claimed the title of best actor, Sarah Snook was named best actress, and Matthew Macfadyen received the award for best supporting actor.

In the awards ceremony, Jeremy Allen White won the best actor title, Ebon Moss-Bachrach received the best supporting actor award, and Ayo Edebiri claimed the best supporting actress prize for their work in the comedy show The Bear. Meanwhile, Ali Wong and Steven Yeun were recognized with the lead acting awards in the limited series category for their performances in Beef.

In the upcoming 2023 Emmy Awards, Succession’s last season will be contending for the Drama category prize, making it a fresh victor in this year’s competition.

As a gamer, I’d say: To have a shot at the Emmy Awards in 2024, TV shows needed to make their debut between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

Here are the Emmy nominees for this year, with more names being revealed during the live announcements. You can find a complete list on the Emmys.com website following the announcements.
