Brad Arnold, the lead vocalist of Three Doors Down, has disclosed that he’s been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer.
On Wednesday, the musician posted a video on Instagram, saying, “Unfortunately, I’ve had some less than ideal news to share.” He continued, “A few weeks back, I fell ill, needed medical attention, and was subsequently admitted to the hospital for evaluation.
At that point, Arnold received the news that he had advanced kidney cancer known as clear cell renal carcinoma, which had spread to his lungs. This is stage 4, and unfortunately, it’s not a favorable stage.
Regardless of his diagnosis, the “Kryptonite” singer expressed no fear about undergoing treatment, relying on his faith instead. He declared, “We serve a powerful God who can conquer anything. Therefore, I have no fear. I genuinely am not afraid of it at all, but it will necessitate us to cancel our summer tour and we apologize for that.” He also asked, “If you could, please lift me up in prayer whenever possible.
In adults, clear cell renal cell carcinoma is the predominant form of kidney cancer, accounting for approximately 80% of all such instances, as reported by the National Cancer Institute.
In his post’s caption, Arnold wrote, “I’m grateful for all the shared moments thus far. I feel strongly that ‘ITS NOT MY TIME’ is my anthem now. This journey ahead promises to be tough, so let us rally our prayer warriors! Thank you all for being exceptional fans. We appreciate and love you!
