Notably, numerous Hindi films have garnered international acclaim across various global platforms in the past. Some of these movies were screened on international stages, while others made their premiere at foreign award ceremonies.

In October 2023, film director Hansal Mehta debuted his suspense thriller movie titled The Buckingham Murders at the 67th BFI London Film Festival, marking its world premiere. Apart from being led by Bebo, the film also stars Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar, Prabhleen Sandhu, and others.
2. Zwigato

The film “Zwigato” explores the personal journey and hardships faced by a food delivery worker, directed by Nandita Das. 3. All We Imagine As Light

In 2024, Payal Kapadia’s film “All We Imagine As Light” was everywhere in the news for positive reasons. This movie made its debut at the main competition of the 77th Cannes Film Festival last year. Although it was nominated for the Palme d’Or, it won the Grand Prix at this prestigious global event instead. 4. The Mehta Boys

Boman Irani’s directorial project, The Mehta Boys, debuted at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival in September 2024 and was honored with the Best Feature Film award. Following a standing ovation from the audience, it was released on OTT platforms this year.
5. Faraaz

2022 saw the world premiere of Faraaz at the BFI London Film Festival, but it wasn’t until 2023 that the magic unfolded in India. As a die-hard fan, I simply couldn’t wait to witness this masterpiece directed by the brilliant Hansal Mehta, and boy was it worth it! The film marked the stunning debut of Zahan Kapoor, with Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Aditya Rawal, Pallak Lalwani, and other talented actors joining him on this incredible journey.
