6 Years of Dhadak: Ishaan Khatter calls his debut film with Janhvi Kapoor 'special'; shares unseen BTS of Zingaat song

Ishaan Khatter‘s journey in Bollywood is truly inspiring. Six years ago today, I watched him make his debut in Dhadak, a film that captured my heart with its raw emotions and beautiful storytelling. I still remember the excitement of seeing him jump into the pond during the making of Zingaat, an unforgettable moment from the film’s behind-the-scenes.

Ishaan Khatter, who made his Bollywood entrance with Shashank Khaitan’s movie “Dhadak” in 2018, has experienced significant growth within the film world. Currently, he’s secured a role in an upcoming Hollywood project titled “The Perfect Couple,” which is a drama series.

Ishaan reminisced about his first movie, Dhadak, which was released six years ago on July 20th.

Ishaan Khatter celebrates 6 years of Dhadak

On Saturdays, Ishaan Khatter shared an Insta video on a weekend, showcasing BTS footages from Dhadak’s filming location. In one clip, Ishaan leaped into a pond while Janhvi Kapoor looked on from the shore.

As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the behind-the-scenes moment when I, as an actor in Dhadak, asked Director Shashank about his plans for shooting a particular scene. He replied casually, “Don’t give it too much thought. Just jump into it.”

In the BTS video, you’ll find the creation process of the hit song “Zingaat” from the 2018 movie. Ishaan is captured practicing the dance moves for this popular track. Keep an eye out for Shashank Khaitan nailing the hook step.

In addition to directing and choreographing the video, Farah Khan oversees the performance. Ishan Khattar, the actor from Dhadak, expressed gratitude to the viewers in a caption note for their affection towards the movie.

“This film holds a very dear place in all of our hearts. To everyone who has kept it alive in yours since its release, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your love.”

Here’s how fans are reacting to Ishaan Khatter’s post

A comment reads, “I really enjoy this movie.” Regarding Ishaan, a fan expressed, “You still have the same charm and appeal for us today.”

When this film came out, my 2-year-old daughter was enamored with its songs. She would only be satisfied if she was either watching or listening to them, particularly the song “Pehli Baar.”

All about Dhadak

Dhadak was manufactured by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta through Dharma Productions. This 2018 film was a re-creation of the 2016 Marathi movie Sairat, helmed by Nagraj Manjule. Ashutosh Rana played a significant role in this production as well.

In the film “Dhadak,” Ishaan Khatter portrayed the character of Madhukar Bhagla, also known as Madhu, who is a college student and comes from a modest background in Udaipur.

Janhvi Kapoor joined the cast as the wealthy political figure’s daughter, Parthavi Singh, whom he portrayed as both his love interest and eventually his wife. Ashutosh Rana took on the role of Ratan Singh Rathore, a powerful politician who was revealed to be Parthavi’s father.

The second part of the 2018 movie “Dhadak,” titled “Dhadak 2,” is currently being developed. In this new film, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri will take on the main roles. The planned release date for “Dhadak 2” is in the year 2024.
