In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Dual Blades stand out as swift, high-frequency melee weapons. These lethal razors may not have much range, but they excel in almost every other aspect. Dual Blades are ideal for inflicting status ailments on your adversary and dealing elemental damage. Notably, you can also sever tails if the chance arises!
In the game “Wilds,” the weapon class is currently in an excellent position, yet some Dual Blades outshine their peers. To get a glimpse of the top-tier performance these daggers can provide, consider working towards the following essential items:
1. Item 1: This blade’s sharpness and speed make it a formidable weapon in close combat. Its unique design allows for quick attacks and evasive maneuvers.
2. Item 2: With an enchantment that boosts critical hit rate, this dagger is perfect for dealing massive damage to enemies. Combined with its swift attack speed, it’s a deadly weapon in the right hands.
3. Item 3: This dagger’s special ability allows you to dodge enemy attacks and counter-attack, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer a more agile playstyle. Its versatility makes it a valuable asset in any situation.
Similar to our Greatsword rankings, many top-tier Dual Blades are found towards the ends of their respective skill branches in the talent tree. Therefore, be prepared for quite a bit of spoiler content as you peruse this list.
8. Lala Harapactirs
The Bug Blades
I take great pleasure in suggesting unique monster gear for lists, and the latest addition, the spooky Lala Barina, comes equipped with a set of Dual Blades that are definitely worth a look!
The Lala Harapactirs may not deal a significant amount of raw damage initially, but their 15% increased Affinity stat and an abundance of White sharpness more than compensate for it. For new players unaccustomed to the damage calculation system in Monster Hunter, Affinity is essentially Critical Hit chance, while White sharpness represents the highest quality you can obtain in the Wilds, providing a damage bonus.
As a gamer, I can tell you that the 150 Paralysis weapon is a game-changer! It lets me temporarily stun monsters, which means I get to deal extra damage without any additional effort. Plus, the Lala Harapactirs I wield have this awesome combo of Critical Draw and Critical Status. Honestly, I wish Critical Draw offered a bit more impact, but these Dual Blades are still top-notch and ready for action in every encounter.
7. Esperanza Daggers
Low Investment And Top Tier

It’s quite impressive to discover that even the simplest Dual Blades can be effectively used right from the beginning of the story, all the way through and beyond.
The Esperanza Daggers represent the concluding pair of Dual Blades within the Expedition Progression. Each weapon in this progression boasts satisfactory statistics, and remarkably few monster components are required to craft them. It might seem that such low-commitment weapons would carry significant disadvantages, but in this instance, that’s not the norm.
As a gamer, I found myself wielding the Esperanza Daggers – they dish out decent damage and sport an abundance of White sharpness, which is a plus. Frankly, it’d be great if they had a boosted affinity, but I can’t complain since it isn’t negative. Interestingly enough, these daggers come equipped with two points in the Critical Eye Equipment Skill, granting some chance for critical hits during enhanced attacks.
Among the dual blades available, it’s challenging to discover ones with easier fabrication prerequisites.
6. Hungerklauen
The Dragon Killer

In Monster Hunter World, I’ve found that the Hungerklauen Dual Blades, crafted from the mighty Gore Magala, are a force to be reckoned with. These blades certainly pack a punch and leave quite an impression on my foes!
The Dual Blades show no weakness in their statistics, performing consistently well. These weapons are excellent options for inflicting any form of elemental damage, and Hungerklauen delivers a substantial 150 Dragon Damage. You’ll appreciate the 20% boosted Affinity they provide, along with an abundance of high-quality White sharpness to experiment with.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Hungerklauen boasts an optimized Critical Element stat, amplifying elemental damage on critical strikes. This unique equipment ability complements the weapon’s Affinity exceptionally well, providing numerous opportunities for customization through Decorations and Talismans.
5. Fulgartwins Guardiana
Basically, Thor With Blades

If you find the Hungerklauen appealing but prefer a more powerful alternative, the Fulgartwins’ Guardiana Dual Blades would suit you perfectly.
The Fulgar Twins are renowned for dealing high Thunder damage as their preferred weapons, boasting a potent 15% Affinity and maximized Critical Element, making your elemental attacks pack quite a punch, similar to a freight train. With an Attack power of 294, they certainly aren’t to be underestimated. However, it’s worth noting that the blades only possess Blue sharpness, which results in a lower attack damage multiplier compared to other Dual Blades available.
Despite not having the White sharpness, the Fulgartwins Guardiana Dual Blades are still worth testing out, especially given their striking appearance and elegant design reminiscent of the fearsome Fulgar Anjanath you’ll battle to obtain them.
4. Ajara-Panthaka
The Closest You Can Get To Gunblades

In the untamed realm of the Wilds, Ajarakan stands out as a formidable adversary, making a spectacular debut in the Monster Hunter series. This fiery simian, often referred to as the “explosive ape,” is no pushover, dishing out powerful blows that could reduce you to scrap metal if you’re not cautious.
The Ajara-Panthaka Dual Blades align with the explosion-based ability, frequently causing additional harm to your adversary. Having a constant 10% Affinity is a great advantage, and its attack power of 294 puts it on par with top-tier Dual Blades in the game.
You’ve got an abundance of White Sharpness at your disposal, along with a fully enhanced Power Sustainer. While I’d like to switch to another Equipment Skill, this one extends the duration your blades remain energized, and there are certainly other skills that could be less beneficial.
3. Inspired Ywain
You’re The Boss Now

As I venture into the untamed lands known as Wilds, there’s always this looming presence – Arkveld, also recognized by his moniker, The White Wraith. This formidable foe is relentless in his pursuit to thwart my progression through the tale.
Given this context, it’s no surprise that Arkveld’s Dual Blades are truly exceptional. Ywain, wielding them, is a force to be reckoned with, boasting some of the highest damage within its weapon class. A 308 Attack score is impressive even without any affinity bonus, and the 200 Dragon Element makes these blades an excellent option for tackling some of the toughest opponents in the game.
In an unexpected decision, Ywain arrives equipped with a comprehensive set of Focus. This Equipment Skill boosts the rate at which gauges fill and decreases charge times by 15%. While I typically link Focus with Greatswords, it can still be beneficial, especially considering you have ample Decoration slots to experiment with.
2. Final Battleaxes
Gypceros Strikes Again

In the game “Monster Hunter Wilds,” the Gypceros makes for an engaging adversary, boasting an intriguing gameplay mechanic. If you’re looking for a reason to engage in combat with what’s often referred to as the “murder chicken,” consider farming its parts for crafting the Final Battleaxes instead!
To start with, let’s address the main drawback: The Final Battleaxes, being among the few Dual Blades in this list, lack White Sharpness. However, it could be argued that they don’t necessarily require it due to their robust Attack stat of 322 and neutral affinity.
These blades are already loaded with 200 units of poison, making it a breeze to incapacitate your enemy due to their swift double-blade attack rate. Additionally, the Final Battleaxes arrive ready to use, boasting top-tier Power Prolonger straight out of the box. While they do have their drawbacks, the advantages of these unconventional daggers significantly outnumber their disadvantages.
1. Wyvern Lovers
Tough Love

As a dedicated enthusiast, I can tell you that crafting the Wyvern Lovers from Rathalos components is an experience you won’t want to miss, especially if you’re in need of a formidable fire weapon!
The Wyvern Lovers boast numerous advantages, such as a satisfactory level of White sharpness, which means you can postpone sharpening in an emergency. Their fire attribute is useful when required, but what truly shines is their critical hit rate.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “When I first get my hands on the Wyvern Lovers, they already have a 10% Affinity bonus. On top of that, they’ve got three points in the Critical Boost Equipment Skill. This cranks up the power of my critical hits by an impressive 34%.
Despite having slightly less base damage compared to certain other Dual Blades mentioned, its exceptional critical hit rate, damage, and sharpness more than compensate for this.
