Growing up, Indian cinema’s horror flicks were a staple in my life. Some films managed to send chills down my spine, while others had me doubled over with laughter. I found myself gripped by anticipation, eagerly waiting for witches, a Bengali singer enchanting us, an elderly spirit transforming into a child’s companion, people fleeing from zombies, and much more. For many of us horror-comedy aficionados, movies like Stree were the perfect blend of fear and laughter. Now that they’re gearing up for Stree 2, I’ve put together a list of films that cater to both horror comedy and supernatural comedy fans alike.
