On the reality show “90 Day Fiancé,” the rate of success isn’t particularly high. While some couples do manage to stay together after the initial 90 days and even take away valuable lessons from watching the show, it’s more common for them to break up – either on decision day or during one of the numerous reunion seasons. Therefore, when a couple can keep their relationship going for a bit longer, it’s definitely something worth acknowledging. Brandon and Julia from Season 8 appear to still be together so far, despite experiencing their fair share of challenges.
From my perspective as an enthusiastic fan, Brandon Gibbs and I (Julia Trubkina) first bonded online – he’s a farmer from America, while I’m a Russian dancer. We decided to take our relationship a step further by getting married, but life threw us a curveball when we had to live with his parents instead of purchasing our dream home. Despite the initial challenges, I grew fond of my in-laws, but a sudden pregnancy scare added tension to our upcoming nuptials. Nevertheless, we chose to go through with it and stood by each other on that special day, which was documented in “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?”
Now, we’re considering a move to the vibrant city of Las Vegas, where new opportunities await us for career advancement. We’ve finally secured our own apartment and are contemplating starting a family. To top it all off, I was among the fortunate few “90 Day Fiancé” cast members granted a green card due to my marriage.
After the season concluded, Gibbs and Trubkina took in two German Shepherds named Simba and Nala, while Trubkina herself faced a serious health issue. However, despite the good times and bad, according to their social media updates, they continue as a couple — and have joined another spin-off within the expanding TV show universe.
The jury’s out on whether Brad and Julia will survive The Last Resort
As a gamer, I find myself right in the heart of the “90 Day Fiancé” universe once again, and this time, it’s “90 Day: The Last Resort” where Brandon and Julia are starring. This spin-off brings back couples from past seasons to address their issues head-on and put their marriages to the ultimate test. For Brandon and Julia, the main struggles center around children and a relationship that seems to be losing its spark. To add fuel to the fire, Julia’s aim is to help her parents migrate from Russia to America, but Brandon’s skeptical about their tumultuous divorce leaving them as potential troublemakers.
At this point in time, the series has only aired three episodes, leaving us unsure if the pair remains together. There’s certainly no shortage of tension arising from Brandon’s concerns about Julia’s partying lifestyle or her reluctance to share personal details for the therapy scenes on the show. Furthermore, they are not the wealthiest “90 Day Fiancé” duo, as financial struggles persist in their relationship. We’ll have to wait and see if their union endures the test of time on its lofty pedestal.
