90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 7 Is Entertaining, But I'm Struggling With One Specific Problem

As a long-time fan of reality television, I must confess that I have been following 90 Day Fiancé for quite some time now, and I have to say that this season of Before The 90 Days has left me feeling rather underwhelmed. While the drama is still there, it’s just not as enjoyable as previous seasons, and that’s because of the American cast members this year.

heads up! this discussion might reveal some surprises from the latest episode of ’90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ Season 7, titled “Brave New World.” If you’re all caught up on your favorite show with a Max subscription, feel free to dive in, but beware of potential spoilers!

There’s been no shortage of entertainment thanks to the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days hitting the Fall TV schedule, but while the drama is still fun to get caught up in, Season 7 has been more of a struggle than expected for me to watch thus far. I wasn’t wholly sure what my problem was until watching the worst storylines of the season began to rear their heads in the latest episode.

Clearly stated: The American cast for Season 7 is generally dislikable, and if Loren’s ban from the “90 Day Fiancé” subreddit didn’t demonstrate this enough, this episode made it abundantly clear. Every season has its flaws, but this one is overstepping the mark, and I find myself growing indifferent about whether these couples achieve a happy ending or not.

Before The 90 Days’ American Cast Members Are So Hard To Root For

As a devoted viewer of Before The 90 Days, Season 7, I’ve noticed a fair share of warning signs among the US cast members. While some might be familiar with these red flags already, for those who may need a reminder, here’s a rundown of what I’ve observed so far:

  • Tigerlily married Adnan a day after meeting him for the first time and knows nothing about Middle Eastern culture.
  • Brian lied to Ingrid about his actual age and hid his past as a drug dealer.
  • Veah is taking her ex-boyfriend to meet Sunny, who has no idea what’s happening.
  • Loren told Faith they couldn’t kiss because he had gonorrhea from cheating on her.
  • Rayne told Chidi she believed his blindness was fated so that they could be together.
  • Niles is preparing for a wedding with Matilda, but is waiting until he arrives to tell her that he doesn’t want to go through with it.

As I delve deeper into the gaming world, it’s become increasingly unsettling to keep tabs online. Take Loren getting banned from Reddit, or Rayne’s strange chatter about vampires and cannibals – it’s left me questioning what’s next. We’re yet to meet two pairs this season, but if these duos represented the crème de la crème, maybe it’s time we part ways and focus on the remaining episodes?

Actually, I was just kidding about that. However, it does make me ponder why there seem to be so many unappealing individuals in this season, and if the next set of couples will follow suit.

Is TLC Trying Too Hard With Its Casting?

It’s clear that the production team behind 90 Day Fiancé selects couples they believe will provide the most engaging television content. Simultaneously, the cast of Before The 90 Days Season 7 appears to be intentionally chosen to display individuals making questionable decisions, with the hope that things will turn out favorably for them in the end.

Sometimes, it seems as though this season is focusing on finding the next character similar to Big Ed Brown or Angela Deem, instead of showcasing couples who are striving to build a harmonious marriage amidst their differences. The series appears to be approaching a stage where they favor individuals who might propose unexpectedly in a deli over narrating a romantic tale between two diverse cultures.

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days has traditionally been the most tumultuous spinoff series, but this season seems excessively so for me. Not long ago, I found myself eagerly anticipating the drama unfolding between Chidi and Rayne, as well as other plotlines, but now it’s just too much. All I can pray for is that the upcoming couples are more grounded in reality, providing a nice balance between their stories and the current turmoil.

Watch the latest installments of the TLC series every Sunday evening at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Don’t forget to take a peek at the 2024 television schedule afterwards to find out about upcoming shows!
