As someone who has been following the 90 Day Fiancé franchise for quite some time now, I can confidently say that I have seen it all – the highs, the lows, and everything in between. However, watching Veah Netherton and Sunny Mahdi’s storyline on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days has been a unique experience, to say the least.
The latest episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I must admit that I’m not holding my breath for this couple. Don’t get me wrong; I wish them all the best, but history has shown us that American-Bangladeshi romances have a tough road ahead. If you recall, couples like Jen Boucher and Rishi, Kimberly Rochelle and TJ Goswami, and Jenny and Sumit Singh all faced significant challenges when it came to integrating into Southeast Asian families.
Sunny’s decision to propose to Veah despite his father’s potential anger is a brave move, but I can’t help but feel that they’re setting themselves up for disappointment. I’m not saying they won’t make it work – after all, I always root for happy endings – but I have my reservations. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens at the tell-all with Shaun Robinson.
On a lighter note, I can’t help but wonder if Sunny and Veah will be as dramatic as Vanja Grbic and her unexpectedly happy story that might still go south. Only time will tell!
❗️Heads up! This information reveals plot points from the “Before We Say Goodbye” episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. To watch it, you’ll need a Max subscription, so proceed with caution if you want to avoid spoilers.
Veah Netherton and Sunny Mahdi’s love story in Bangladesh has been a less-than-favorite plotline for me in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 7, and the latest episode didn’t sway my opinion. This couple encountered a significant hurdle in their relationship, but given past instances of similar challenges faced by other 90 Day Fiancé couples, I’m not hopeful about their chances of surmounting it.
As we progress through this season, it seems to have one of the least appealing casts from 90 Day that I’ve encountered so far. Yet, against all odds, love is still present. It’s quite unexpected given how every couple appears to be on the verge of collapse at some point. However, I’m not entirely optimistic about Veah and Sunny’s recent significant decision being the only one worth celebrating.
Sunny Proposed To Veah, And She Accepted
In response to Vanja Grbic’s surprising tale, which might take a turn for the worse, Sunny chose to propose to Veah, disregarding all the problems that have arisen since her arrival in Bangladesh. All he sought was her continued presence by his side, as there was a possibility that his father would react negatively when informed about their engagement.
Indeed, Veah consented to stand by his companion, undeniably a favorable turn of events. Nonetheless, it remains uncertain whether these two fully grasp the challenges that lie ahead on their path.
This Hasn’t Worked Out Well For Past 90 Day Fiancé Cast Members
As a devoted fan of reality TV, I can’t help but empathize with the tales of love and cultural clashes portrayed on shows like 90 Day Fiancé, especially when it comes to couples navigating the intricacies of Southeast Asian families. Take for instance Jen Boucher and Rishi. She soon discovered the profound ties that men share with their relatives, which ultimately led to their separation. Similarly, Kimberly Rochelle encountered the same hurdles in her relationship with Tejaswi “TJ” Goswami, who eventually constructed a separate living space for them to preserve harmony within his family.
Firstly, let me introduce Jenny and Sumit Singh. For years, Sumit battled with his parents to gain their approval before ultimately earning his mother’s acceptance. It’s worth noting that relationships between individuals from the US and Southeast Asia often face unique challenges, particularly when it comes to dealing with a partner’s family. In this case, it seems to be especially difficult for couples like Sumit and Jenny.
From what I see, Sunny being aware that his father might be upset suggests Veah is likely facing a similar struggle. Frankly, I have my doubts about this couple lasting through whatever backlash they may encounter from his family, given they’ve considered ending things multiple times on their recent trip to Bangladesh alone. I sincerely hope for a positive outcome for them as I typically root for happy endings for the stars of 90 Day Fiancé, but I’m bracing myself for potential difficulties.
Every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, you can catch “90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days” on TLC. As we get closer to the reunion show, I’m curious to see which couples will be attending and what fresh insights they might reveal about their relationships with Shaun Robinson.
