As a seasoned movie-goer and reality TV connoisseur who has watched more love stories unfold than I care to count, I must admit that 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 7 has left me with a bitter taste. Loren Allen, the American cast member whose life choices have left me scratching my head, continues to be the most disappointing character in this ensemble.
The seventh season of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” features an American cast that I find rather unappealing. Among them, one individual stands out as consistently underwhelming, making me wish they won’t be part of future spinoffs slated for 2025. Recently, fans like myself have been taken aback by a surprising disclosure. Shortly after Loren Allen proposed to Faith Tulod, an old podcast resurfaced, in which Loren expressed his true feelings about his supposed fiancée.
On a podcast named “Thekikipodcast”, Loren made an appearance in October 2023, an episode that was later published. A week prior to his journey to the Philippines to meet Faith, this conversation was shared online. Earlier speculations suggested that Loren and Faith wouldn’t last, but it seems Loren was quite open-mouthed when discussing his strategy for “90 Day Fiancé” in the previous year. Loren confessed that his participation in the show was primarily driven by financial gains rather than seeking romance, and he used Faith to generate the necessary drama.
The more outrageous actions I take, the higher my paycheck increases. My strategy is to amplify the drama to the maximum level. This girl in the Philippines seems particularly envious, so it should be quite straightforward to provoke her. In essence, all I need to do is snap my fingers and she’ll become annoyed with me.
It’s undeniably disappointing to learn that Loren entered the show “90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days” with the intention of causing trouble for Faith purely for entertainment. While he was reportedly having tough discussions about their relationship with his sisters, it seems he was also devising means to provoke her. It’s not entirely implausible that someone might act this way, but what makes it puzzling is why he would choose to openly confess to such actions in public.
It might be that Loren thought confessing everything openly could shield his reputation. However, considering he purchased just a one-way ticket to the Philippines, it seems more likely that he may not have thoroughly considered the long-term consequences of his actions. As for what his backup plan was if he couldn’t return to the U.S., Loren stated this:
If I get stuck there, I get stuck there. Life goes on.
At least, I find comfort in the fact that Loren and Faith avoided the fate of many 90 Day Fiancé couples who ultimately split up. This demonstrates that the show’s so-called “scammers” aren’t confined to just one country and that such situations can occur on both sides of the relationship.
Regarding Loren’s continued involvement on “90 Day Fiancé”, it seems likely that TLC may decide to end their association with him. Although the show often thrives on controversy with figures like Angela Deem and Big Ed Brown potentially departing, Loren appears to generate a kind of drama that I believe viewers find less appealing. There’s something about someone who seemingly joined the series for fame that sits uneasy, especially when it seems to come at the expense of Faith. Here’s hoping she recovers from this ordeal and chooses to participate again if she wishes to return in future seasons.
Every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET, I can’t wait to tune into TLC for a new episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days”.
