Worldcoin Hits 10 Million Users, Free Tokens Used for Goats in Kenya

A cryptocurrency initiative called Worldcoin, which aims to implement a universal basic income (UBI) through its program, is experiencing explosive expansion. Since its debut in June 2023, the project has amassed over 10 million users on its World App and adds approximately 2 million new registrants every day.

Approximately 10 million individuals utilize the world app at present, and its daily user base surpasses our monthly count from the beginning of the year. We’re both thankful and elated about the future prospects.

The World App allows users to verify their biometric data, specifically through iris scans, using office machines referred to as “orbs” in a physical setting. Remco Bloemen, the blockchain lead at the Worldcoin Foundation, stresses that the World App is just one option; they encourage other wallet developers to create varied wallets with distinct features to cater to the diverse needs of their customers.

Sam, the initial goat in our project, represents the potential positive influence it will have on people’s lives, much like how Worldcoin co-founder Sam Altman has made an impact.
