Anza Launches Solana Congestion Fixes, Calls for Testnet Upgrade

Solana’s blockchain is experiencing heavy traffic, causing transactions to process more slowly and increasing the likelihood of dropped transactions. This negatively impacts user experience. In response, Anza, the creator of one of Solana’s Agave validator client, has introduced potential solutions to this issue in version 1.18.11 of their devnet (development network).

Solana testnet validators: The new version 1.18.11 of Solana is now available on devnet. We recommend upgrading as soon as possible to assist us in examining the impact of the proposed congestion solutions.

The Anza team encourages Solana testnet validators to swiftly upgrade to the latest version. Doing so allows them to assess the update and make essential modifications prior to deploying it on the primary network.

The Solana network’s recent traffic jams are believed to be caused by issues with Anza Network’s validator client. Despite this, the team is taking steps to resolve the problem, demonstrating their dedication to keeping the network running smoothly.

With an increasing number of individuals relying on blockchain technology, overcoming challenges related to network overload and scalability has emerged as a major priority for numerous initiatives. The Solana validator squad is dedicatedly working to identify and resolve these issues, enhancing the overall experience for both developers and users.

If we effectively carry out the suggested remedies for network congestion, Solana’s performance could be brought back to its peak levels. This would reinforce Solana’s position as a leading platform for decentralized apps and services. The community will keep a close eye on the testnet experiments and the subsequent deployment on the main network.
