Network Disruption Halts Degen Chain Operations

As a researcher with extensive experience in the blockchain industry, I find the current situation with Degen Chain concerning. The sudden halt of new blocks and resulting downtime has significantly impacted several decentralized applications (dApps) and bridge services that operate on the platform.

The Degen Chain, a unique blockchain platform built on Ethereum specifically for the Degen meme token, has encountered significant operational challenges. Consequently, the generation of fresh blocks has come to a standstill, resulting in repercussions for associated services.

As a crypto investor, I’ve encountered an unexpected issue with the Degen Chain that began around 4:15 p.m. ET on Sunday. Specifically, block #15524774 didn’t progress as expected, leading to over eleven hours of network downtime. Consequently, several decentralized applications (dApps) and bridge services like Relay Bridge, DegenSwap, Mint Club, and Frogswap have been adversely affected. Regrettably, these crucial platforms are currently inoperable, preventing users from executing transactions.

The Degen Chain tech crew has identified the issue and is putting in maximal effort to resolve it. To accelerate the solution, they’re collaborating with Conduit, a service that assists in blockchain functions.

At present, there’s a hold-up in obtaining Farcaster data from Dune, and we’re collaborating closely with @DuneAnalytics to sort out the problem. Furthermore, the L3 chain is encountering some instability, which we’re working diligently with @conduitxyz to rectify. Please bear with us as we tackle these challenges.
