MoonPay Enables PayPal for Crypto Transactions in UK and EU

As an analyst with a background in fintech and cryptocurrency, I’m thrilled about MoonPay’s latest announcement expanding their partnership with PayPal to the United Kingdom and European Union. This collaboration has the potential to significantly increase the accessibility of cryptocurrencies to a broader audience.

MoonPay announced on Wednesday that it has enabled PayPal as a payment option for buying cryptocurrencies in the UK and EU.

As a cryptocurrency market analyst, I’m thrilled to share that expanding horizons now allow residents in 24 European Union member states and the United Kingdom to purchase over a hundred cryptocurrencies directly using their PayPal accounts through MoonPay.

The announcement reveals that this extension permits consumers from twenty-four EU countries, excluding Croatia, Hungary, and Iceland, the convenience of buying cryptocurrencies through their PayPal accounts.

“MoonPay’s partnership expansion into fresh markets represents an thrilling achievement for us. By doing so, we will be able to offer a seamless experience and reduce access barriers, welcoming users from all corners of the globe,” Ivan Soto-Wright, MoonPay co-founder and CEO, expressed in a press statement.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll implement the deployment after a prosperous US merger was concluded last month. As reported by MoonPay, PayPal has climbed up the ranks to be the third preferred payment method in the USA, overtaking Google Pay.

As a crypto investor, I’ve noticed an impressive surge in the use of PayPal as a payment method in the cryptocurrency space. This trend is clearly reflected in the engagement metrics, with almost 9 out of 10 users who connect their PayPal accounts completing a transaction. Additionally, new customers who opt for PayPal as their preferred payment method convert at a rate that’s 30% higher than those who use traditional credit or debit cards.

As a researcher studying MoonPay’s latest development, I can share that integrating with PayPal expands our user base to include a more seasoned demographic. The typical user in this group is around 35 years old.

As a crypto investor, I’m thrilled about the convenience PayPal’s integration with MoonPay brings to Bitcoin transactions. With my existing PayPal account, I can easily execute Bitcoin purchases without the hassle of manually entering payment details every time. Instead, I have the flexibility to use my PayPal balance, direct bank withdrawal, or debit card for funding these transactions, making each purchase seamless and efficient.
