As a longtime fan of Childish Gambino, I’m beyond excited for his upcoming album “Bando Stone & The New World.” With the release of two stunning pre-singles, “Lithonia” and now “In The Night,” featuring Amaarae and Jorja Smith, it’s clear that this album is going to be a game changer.
In the upcoming days, “Bando Stone & The New World” by Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) will be released. As a prelude to this highly anticipated album, Glover has revealed his second single titled “In The Night.” This groovy track, which premiered at his listening party in New York City a few days ago, now features the captivating vocals of Amaarae and Jorja Smith in its complete form.
With a length of approximately four minutes, the song “In The Night” begins having J.I.D (Gambino) rapping the initial verse. Then, Amaarae and Smith add their voices as the melody progresses.

Growing up in the rural parts of Georgia, I can relate to the raw and heartfelt words of J.I.D in this song. His lyrics paint a picture of longing for something more, something that seems unattainable. The person he’s singing about is made for the vibrant and glamorous life of California, while he remains rooted in his simple upbringing.
“The song ‘In The Night’ is the second advance track from the upcoming album ‘Bando Stone & The New World’. It follows the release of ‘Lithonia’, which came out at the start of the month.”
Another artist, Amaarae, is set to make an appearance on yet another track in the album, while Steve Lacy, Flo Milli, Fousheé, Chloë Bailey, Kamasi Washington, and Yeat have also confirmed collaborations.
