We Know When Scream 7 Will Reportedly Start Filming, And It’s Soon

As a die-hard fan of the Scream franchise, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming seventh installment! The horror genre has been on fire lately, and it’s absolutely exhilarating to see one of my all-time favorite series return with new sequels. And the fact that Neve Campbell is back as Sidney Prescott? A total game changer.

As a huge fan of the horror genre, I’ve been thrilled to see it undergo a remarkable resurgence in recent years. Classics like Wes Craven’s Scream series have made their way back to the big screen with new sequels that left audiences screaming for more. The latest installments, despite some setbacks – like Neve Campbell’s absence from Scream VI due to contract disagreements – have been massive successes. Now, I can hardly contain my excitement as Neve returns for Scream 7, and filming is rumored to begin shortly. Spoiler alert: it’s not long now!

As a long-time fan of the “Scream” franchise, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming seventh installment! While information about the film is still scarce, I’m thrilled that horror maestro Kevin Williamson will be at the helm. His involvement gives me confidence that we’re in for another edge-of-your-seat experience filled with wit and terror.

If this report is accurate, it adds an extra layer of excitement for the upcoming “Scream” film, making it feel more authentic. Given the challenges faced during its production, fans are sure to be elated that filming is about to start again in a matter of months. In the meantime, they can re-experience the previous two movies by subscribing to Paramount+.

At present, the specifics of “Scream 7’s” plot are shrouded in secrecy. Various speculations exist, one suggesting a leap forward in time, bringing Sidney’s offspring to the forefront. Some fans, including myself, are eagerly anticipating the potential return of Patrick Dempsey as Mark Kincaid from “Scream 3,” given their marital relationship in the franchise. However, nothing is confirmed yet.

As an avid fan, I can’t help but feel excited about the cast of “Scream 7” and the upcoming filming sessions in September. With Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega no longer involved, it seems we’ll be moving away from the Carpenter sisters’ storyline. However, it remains to be seen if the remaining Core Four members, Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding), will have more prominence in the movie. Given that Jasmin is currently busy filming “Yellowjackets” Season 3, her schedule might play a crucial role in how these characters are incorporated into the storyline.

In the potential seventh installment of “Scream,” several legacy characters from the series, including Martha Meeks played by Heather Matarazzo, could make a comeback based on Kevin Williamson’s creative vision for the plot. Martha, who reappeared in the 2022 “Scream” film, has horror acting credits like “Hostel,” making her an intriguing choice to confront Ghostface. My suggestion, fueled by my enthusiasm as a dedicated fan of the franchise, is that she could even be the first victim in the new movie.

The seventh installment of “Scream” isn’t yet scheduled for release, but you can stream the previous films on Paramount+ in the meantime. Keep an eye on the 2025 movie schedule for updates on the new release.
